Full disclosure: my partner and I are from Australia so we are spoilt with the best coffee in the world by a long shot, but I'll review anyway. Ube Taro latte is delicious. My partner got it, it's her first time in America so I tried to steer her away from an espresso for her first drink. It was a delicious drink. I am an espresso drinker. I had heard good things about coffee in HI so thought I'd give espresso here a shot when I usually would never have espresso in America due to the significantly lower quality than Australian espresso. If I have to be honest, the beans were far too over roasted. Coffee culture is meant to focus on the unique properties and flavour of each beans, to bring out their unique flavour profiles. If you over roast the bean, all you taste is burnt caffeine pretty much which is typical of American espresso. This was reflected ib my espresso too so needless to say I was really dissapointed with my drink, particularly since after conversion it was about $7 Australian more expensive than our 7/11 espressos which are far nicer. It's just a reminder for us exactly why Americans add so much other stuff to their "coffees". I'd recommend barristas to try train with Australian trained barristas to understand what elevates an espresso. Cute store, clearly hard working staff but their espresso isn't at the quality I'd expect from a cafe being used to Australian Cafe culture. Service was also quite slow. I'm used to 3 minute turnarounds for coffee in small cafes. Summary: 5 stars for the ube Taro latte, gorgeous looking drink with a great flavour. 1 star for the espresso. Average 3 star between both drinks.

Walked by this unassuming coffee shop while wandering around Honolulu. Decided it was time for a coffee, so we stopped in. If you want to avoid the carbon copy sanitary feel of the big coffee houses, then this place is for you. Very charming, with tons of character. Employees greeted many of the customers- very upbeat and pleasant staff! Plenty of selections for coffee, cold brews and "coff-tails", and espresso choices. We had the Nuts and Berries cold coffee, which was delicious, and a parfait made with chia pudding- also extremely delicious. Food choices include breakfast sandwiches, bagels, toasts, and there was also a house salad available.

Went in on the Ube/Taro Latte, unfortunately high expectations that were not met. Drink looks like I’m going to jump into a pool of purple dream, but the tastebuds didn’t get the full immersion we imagined. Also $8+ for a latte was steep. If you like Lattes it was delightful, more coffee flavor and more of an appearance of ube/taro then taste. It’s like if you were to eat a peacock expecting it too taste like peacock when it tastes like chicken… Also the place was a bit small only about 4 tables and they were all full so had to go to a different coffee shop to get some work done. @hungryhungryhumans_

Ali'i Coffee Co. brings a refreshing flair to coffee Cutely designed seating area and ordering counter conveniently located along Auahi Street I am so impressed by their cold brew options (Coff Tails and Signature Lattes) and coffee menu . I tried their "Nuts 'N Berries" 🍒🍓 ☕ Cold brew concoction today and impressed by the subtely of the flavors. I'd like to try the "Princess" (Vegan Option) next~! Must try the Blueberry Lilikoi Pastry. The one pictured here is an Apple Turnover, which was flakey and tasty too.

Small little cozy coffee joint, with very personable and inviting staff. I got "The Queen" (hot), never trying a coffee there before and it was phenomenal! Smooth and delicious coffee flavor that allowed the compliment of the other ingredients ( hazelnut and toasted coconut) to do their thing. I enjoyed it so much I purchased a different drink to go, "The Prince" and I am enjoying it just as much! 10 out of 10 would recommend to a friend! Price was very reasonable as well, just over $5 for a large hot drink.
