This is one of the best plate lunch spots hands down. The prices are on point, and the food is amazing. Restaurant quality food. While most do take out, they also have a very nice and spacious air conditioned indoor area to eat. Not the average plate lunch, as even the sides are well thought out. Authentic japanese potato salad, homemade pickled veggies, fresh slaw salad, might vary slightly from day to day, but it is all delicious. Those are just the sides. If you like Ahi Katsu, get it. It is so fresh and is very high grade ahi tuna lightly battered and lightly seared to perfection. Comes with a very delicious chanterelle sauce, it's so good. If you want a simple yakisoba plate with homemade noodles, that is delicious too. Everything is good. They even have a bakery with some pretty amazing goods. Selection varies, but if they have the croquette pastry that is bomb. They also occasionally do omurice as a special too

They also have a vegetarian menu, and I'm not vegetarian, but the miso eggplant is amazing. Best I've ever had.

Looking forward to going back and keep trying more...

I can’t believe that I did not learn about this eatery until yesterday. A friend and I met for lunch yesterday and she said she has gone there many times. Dell’s has been open at the corner of Mccully and Young street for about two years. I often pass this location but have never ventured to try the food because I thought it was still a Chinese restaurant. To my surprise, Dell’s/Mio Pastology are the same restaurant serving bentos and pasta with a bakery on the side. Although the concept may seem strange it works well under the vision of Chef Dell Valdez. The cohesiveness of the diverse menu is due to the Japanese consciousness of Chef Masatsuda and his wife Rita. The pasta selections are not heavy with cream or with excess of butter. They also sell bento selections which reflect a Japanese bento that you could get in Japan, not having the overwhelming taste of shoyu and sugar which are the downfall of some local...

This is definitely an unexpected experience. I ate there with a friend of mine this evening and did not know what to expect other than food. Much to my surprise it is extremely clean. The manager Rika took my order. Very kind very patient and gave answers to every question I had. The service was excellent. The time to prepare my order was short. Delivered to the table where I was sitting. Everything was prepared with the utmost care. Honestly from the outside it was unassuming unpretentious. But clearly once inside you realize that all your expectations will be met. I highly recommend this as a place to eat. There is somewhat limited seating but for our visit it did not pose an issue. If you're looking for some out of the way but a wonderful place to eat... I recommend this location Dale's kitchen and bakery. It is so refreshing to go to a restaurant and eat and be appreciated for being a customer. What a...

You’ve probably driven past this spot at South Beretania & McCully, but trust me ...it’s worth pulling over for. Nearly everything here is made in-house, and Chef Dell (who’s also behind Vein in Kaka‘ako) is absolutely delivering. Expect top-quality ingredients like fresh Mio Pastalogy pasta, egg salad sandwiches made with Japanese eggs, and premium-grade Matsuri rice. The biggest win? It’s affordable without compromising on flavor or portion size. Food: 5/5 – A lineup of favorites worth every bite: - Egg Salad Sammy!! - Kawagoe housemade gyoza with mustard sauce - Kurobuta Tonkatsu - Izakaya Kawagoe’s famous chicken karaage - Garlic Chili Chicken - Mahi Furikake Katsu Parking: 4/5 – Small private lot for dine-in or takeout, plus nearby street parking when it gets busy. Ambience: 4/5 – Spacious dining area with plenty of room to relax and enjoy. Service: 5/5 – Warm, friendly, and attentive from start to finish.

A few weeks ago, I saw a couple eating a fruit sando at Kūhiō beach and asked them where they got it. They mentioned the Dell’s, like a computer Manufacturer. (They didn’t mention dells kitchens like Hell’s Kitchen 🤣) We have been trying at least one new restaurant every week - so when I saw a 15% off coupon … I had to try it. I was impressed. They take pride on making sure all five colors and five tastes are represented in one plate! They have fresh salad and pickled (sour) veggies on every plates 五味・五色・五感・五法 The first time I visited, the cashier was not friendly but the food was great. Today, cashier was friendly and informative- and was able to use the coupon finally!!! There are many bread and sando choices for Keiki / Children. Perfect Bento box before you head out to a hike. Remember … they make every dish fresh. Expect the wait 15 min or so .. for onolicious.
