Business owners like Pasquale is what Yelp is all about. Finding that truly hidden gem with great food and a caring genuine business owner with a truly welcoming personality! Not only do you get a good meal, but you actually are a better person because you got to meet someone who loves what they do.
After reading so many gleaming reviews on Yelp, I grabbed lunch here on a weekday and was greeted by a woman who runs the pearl booth across the way and helps out when she's not busy with customers. After looking through the menu my dining partner and I decided to order:
-Pesto tortellini: I don't usually like pesto or tortellini, but this is definitely a dish I'd order again. It. Was. So. Good. The pasta is made by hand and you can feel it melt into your tongue.
-Chicken parmigiana: Not as good as the tortellini, but still a decent dish. I'd basically only order dishes that have handmade pasta because of how good it is!
-Tiramisu: I also am not a big tiramisu fan but my friend raved about how good it is and she was right! Each bite was so creamy and it was like eating a cloud.
I was lucky enough to meet Pasquale, the owner of Allegrini Mozzarella, who mosied in from running errands. He's a total character and very Italian in the best way. He told us a few funny stories and it was really wonderful to be able to meet someone who has a way of charming everyone who visits his business.
Don't expect a fancy place because Allegrini Mozzarella is basically an extended booth space with casual seating and food served on paper plates with plastic forks. But what it lacks in atmosphere, it makes up for in price point and that TLC that a chain restaurant could never manufacture. Pascuale just took over the booth space next door and will be extending his kitchen and adding in more tables. I can't wait to bring my...
Read moreWent here on Monday April 11, 2022 around 6PM for the first time. This place is small and cute. I ordered the 8 inch Atlantica Pizza with olives and Linguine Pescatore.
Atlantica Pizza was fantastic, but they forgot the olives on it. I didn't mention it as it wasn't a big deal. Figured since it was my first time I should eat it as recommended/as is. Still a delicous dish. Who knew salmon on pizza would be a great topping? Would highly recommend.
My pasta came out and they brought me the Linguine Puttanesca. I asked my server to confirm my order and he said he accidentally put in the wrong order. He offered to have the kitchen redo it, but I was in a rush so I just kept the pasta. If you like anchovy this pasta is for you. Someone other than my server checked in on the pasta and I told them it was good.
I knew my server felt bad. But maybe the restaurant could have taken cared of me a little bit better with the mix up as it seems the kitchen staff came to find out my order was wrong and could have offered a complimentary item or something since they were present during the paying of the bill and mentioned the mix up. Server apologized again, but the other person did not.
Overall, Atlantica pizza was great. Customer service needs improvement. Restaurant experience is a collective responsibility of all staff members. Would probably try this place again to give it another chance, but I'll probably go to the other eateries around the area first before...
