Kozo Sushi — Restaurant in Honolulu

Went on 14 Jan 2022 and again on 25 Jan 22 for a quick take out lunch. Initial impression on the Kahala Mall Kozo Sushi was a bit irritating. I ordered the Aji Bento box on 14 Jan and I was irritated by 2 things. One issue was I did not get any soy sauce with the order and the second issue was the portion size of the ginger. It was one giant, 5 inch long sliver of ginger that was piled in the corner. I held off on a review until I had a second visit.

So today, I ordered the same thing, Aji Bento and a 2 piece Tako Nigiri set. Much better experience today. Soy sauce was included and the ginger was what I would expect, several slivers of different sizes. Everything tasted good, portion size of fish matched portion size of rice. Also, the included wasabi was not overly dry and clumpy like clay.

Overall, this is lunch bento sushi at good quality, fast friendly counter staff, and a good price and one should not be confused and think it is high dining sushi. I usually go to Kozo Sushi in Windward shopping mall and am glad that the Kahala Mall Kozo Sushi lived up to my...

Definitely quantity, not quality. Ask my wife, she can't tell the difference. I'm a picky eater, which this lacked flavor and sustenance, due to the meat/veggie to rice ratio overly favoring rice.
