You’ll pay a little more but it’s worth it for cooked-to-order tasty food. I have never been disappointed. I can’t come everyday but their French fries are better than McDonald’s and come in generous portions, their mini portions are filling for one, their regular portions are good for 2 (or 3) meals. They’re closed on Sundays because the laundromat customers next door fill up the common parking lot but there are a lot of other options in Kaimuki including the L&L by Sekiya’s Japanese Restaurant across from Kaimuki High School which has more parking but also more restaurants sharing the same limited parking. Also there’s the L&L in the ground floor of the Ala Wai Municipal Golf Course clubhouse. Read more2nd Best place to eat in Honolulu! A man that we sat next to on our flight over told us about Leonard's Bakery ( 5* must go!) and L & L Drive in / L&L BBQ. He was right! He told us that L&L looked like a dump but everyone loves it, he loves the macaroni salad and I thought that was weird, since I've never been a macaroni salad fan, but he was right, it ALL was FANTASTIC! You have to try the 3 meat dinner! Soo much delicious food for $9.50! My wife was sceptical when we pulled up but the man on the plane was right about Leonard's so we went in. She had a large Pork & cabbage rice bowl that was one of the best things that I've ever tasted! As it turns out, everyone that I know that have family in Hawaii loves L&L! Trust me, find this place, make yourself go in and you'll return every chance...

The Man Behind the Counter said teriyaki sauce right? I said no, barbecue sauce. He said BBQ sauce is the same as teriyaki sauce. I politely told him that I order from other L&L locations on a very regular basis and barbecue sauce is much thicker and very different from teriyaki sauce. He assured me I would get barbecue sauce but when the plate lunches came they had regular teriyaki sauce. As a result, we did not really enjoy this visit and would highly recommend people stay away from this location! The sign and menu look the same but it is quite different and not...
