Lulu's Waikiki — Restaurant in Honolulu

If you work a service job in Hawaii, industry days on Monday is the way to go- you get 50% off everything for yourself + one other individual! That makes everything a steal for Waikiki. But make sure to make a reservation- it was busy and we waited ~25min for a table for four. Their ube cheesecake was our favorite of the two cheesecakes- the lilikoi had potential but didn't have much lilikoi flavor, just a little drizzle of syrup. I enjoyed my salmon power bowl was very nourishing and fairly light. We thought the papaya salad was going to be like a Thai/SE Asian green mango/papaya salad, but unexpectedly it was a house salad with chunks of fresh papaya on top- still solid though. On the last night of our week stay in Waikiki we went to Lulu's on the recommendation of a few locals. There were five of us, we had reservations and we were seated as soon as we walked in. I had both my kids and they were able to find the perfect dinner for them on the menu. We ordered Poke Nachos and these were the best, not only nachos, but the best food item we had all week. If you decide to go to Lulu's try the Nachos. You will be happy with the choice. We stopped by Lulu’s for lunch because they have a pretty robust selection of gluten free items, which seems hard to come by in Waikiki. We had a lot of trouble with our order - 2 of our drinks had to be remade, the eggs on my Lulu Moco were fried instead of the requested over easy, and we ended up with a fly in another drink.. BUT I’ll say Sage, the waiter, and the manager both handled it really well. Both were very on top of getting things remade and coming to check on us to make sure everything was fixed to liking.
