Ocean side bakery — Restaurant in Honolulu

A co-worker and I finally visited this intimate bakery near the top of Smith Street. We’d heard lots of good things about the place, but the crowds and hours of operation stopped us until today.

We went at 7:15am and they were still in the process of placing baked goods on the shelves. I opted for a Chocolate Croissant and a Cinnamon Roll; total of $8.50. My friend chose the same croissant and two chocolate cookies; total of $12.50.

Our packages were soaked by the time we got back to our office as the chocolate croissant is very buttery. I really enjoyed this croissant even though I ended up eating it with a knife and fork. It’s better than the one I had from P* B* a few blocks away.

We each saved our other item for another day … My cinnamon roll is not large and lacks icing but smells nice....

Would have liked to try the place, but after two attempts it's not worth it. First time they were busy with someone in front of us and the guy working the front was slow so we decided to come back another time. This time we went back and there was no line so we were going to order, but the guy working the counter totally ignored us as he bantered with a guy who he delivering food to outside. He kept talking to the guy while we were standing at the register to order and didn't acknowledge us or say he would be right with us. He then told the guy that he would get some sauce or something for him and we were left waiting while he went into the back. Oh well, ignored we...

I stopped by for some treats to give to my friend for her last day at work and these were perfect . Came by around 9 something this morning and the person working was so friendly and professional I wish I caught her name so I could add it in here. I can’t remember all the names of the items I got but I got banana bread , a brownie , a ube croissant, and 3 others as well. I just dropped these off at work for my friend and all day I’ve been getting texts from my co workers saying how good these are. 10/10 a must try.
