Peppa's Korean BBQ — Restaurant in Honolulu

The food was pretty good here! Ordered a BBQ Beef plate, should have ordered a Mini plate. The portions are alot!

Why 2 Stars, because their is No Restroom to use, while dining in?!!! They kept on telling me that they don't have a Restroom & the public Restrooms were already closed! I was SO bummed, I really wanted to go to the Restroom., I mean c'mon it was only #1??. Lol! Even the Korean lady had the nerve to tell me, do you really have to go that bad, I thought that was kinda rude to tell a paying Customer that!!

I won't be returning back to this Korean Restaurant again!! You just lost me as a Customer!! So rude!! I'm pretty sure that this Restaurant had a Restroom inside this establishment, C'mon, were all human ppl here!! Ugh!! And, I enjoy eating my Korean Food here in Hawai'i Nei! Nope ,I will not come back here again with that kind of an Attitude of a Worker! No thank you, I'll take my Business elsewhere! Boo to the both of you working there last evening; 4/25/2023. If it was my Korean Restaurant, I'll definitely have let you use the Restroom there @Peppa's Korean BBQ. No Aloha Spirit here at all!!!!!!!!!!

I ended up driving to the Nearest McDonald's, just to go to the Restroom!! The gal that was working @McDonald's was kind enough to let me use there Restroom & she even buzzed me in to McDonald's Restroom!!! ...

Stop messing up my order. I swear to God or I will never come back. I have been noticing a pattern with this restaurant, a very bad one which I do not experience from any other Korean BBQ restaurants but this one. Today my mother ordered two kalbi and a number five. They gave her two kalbi and forgot to give her a number five. My mom had to call Peppa's Korean BBQ and they apologized. Apology accepted, but this is not the first time that something like this has happened. The food here is great but the service is terrible. I believe that it is largely due to a lot of the employees being young and having a lack of experience within the food industry. It should be required before you can get hired here, a potential employee must pass a competence test if Peppa's Korean BBQ wishes to keep a good reputation. Also, why is it that whenever I order brown rice, you guys usually give me white rice? I could understand if you told me that you do not have any brown rice and that you only have white rice, but your employees should have the courtesy and decency to tell their customers that rather than not telling them and just giving them white rice without them knowing. I find this a bit...

"Four choices?". Alright, I'll have long rice, kim chee, potato mac and choi sum (or tamago, if get).

A couple of my go-to plates here are Spicy Pork and Loco Moco. Though the Spicy Pork does not meet my standard of spiciness, it's still flavorful. A regular plate comes with 3 pieces of broiled pork, two scoops of rice and four sides. All that for a little over $12. I usually eat half and save the rest for later. So I'm paying about $6/meal. The regular plates are pretty generous!

The Loco Moco has two juicy, hefty, broiled beef patties served on a bed of rice with eggs and smothered with brown gravy! Those patties are consistently done right, it's what you'd expect from a 4-yelp-star restaurant. Kudos to the cooks in the back. The tasty gravy is on a creamy side and I think it's way better. Finished this plate in two sitting. Totally worth it. See photo.
