Puka's — Restaurant in Honolulu

Got seated, staff came up and asked if we needed a menu. We were quickly given one and water. We gave it a quick look over, discussed our options and then moved the menus out of the way to show we were ready to order. We then waited. Waited some more, and then some more. Looked at both a male and female of the staff, they passed us by. After about twenty minutes we left because we weren’t served after that first interaction. There isn’t enough on the menu for me to want to return to try it with non-existent service....

We came in for a burger and brew. Because they were short staffed they offered a limited menu, no burgers. Had the fish tacos (3) and Mac and Jacks. Hubs was happy with the beer. Tacos were mid. Tortilla tasted raw, I know some people don't even warm their corn tortillas. I don't get that, in any event the tortilla was kina cold and thick, the fish tasted like it was previously frozen and chewy. Beer was good, service was excellent, surfing on TV entertaining. Will come back for burgers...

The service was not that good. I had to wait like 45 min for my avocado toast because my server went on break! But the food was pretty good. Some odd combinations but the flavor was there for the avocado toast. The tacos were very good! Fish , pork or beef are the options You can sit...
