This hidden gem is the ultimate Thai street food experience on the island! From the moment you walk in, the vibrant decor with Thai textiles and neon signs transports you right to the streets of Bangkok. The menu is a delightful journey through authentic Thai cuisine that goes way beyond typical restaurant offerings. This restaurant is hitting it out of the park! The wing bean salad brought me back to my life in Thailand, and each dish was a flavor explosion. The chef’s attention to detail and commitment to authentic street food is remarkable. This restaurant isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience. A fantastic addition to Honolulu’s dining scene that I’ll definitely be returning to again and again! the Ahi betel leaf is an absolute flavor bomb that demands your attention. This dish is a sensory explosion, where the delicate herbaceous notes of the betel leaf perfectly complement the expertly marinated poke. It’s quite simply the must-order dish on their entire menu - a culinary experience that will transport your taste buds directly to the vibrant streets of Thailand…. The wing bean salad is a dish. I can’t go a day without you really can’t go wrong with anything you order. I keep coming back to the fried mushrooms and the green curry. Listen up, food lovers - YOU SHOULD TOTALLY GO TO THIS PLACE! 🔥 But also… maybe don’t? Because I want to keep this little slice of Thai street food heaven ALL TO MYSELF. 😂 I’m totally cool with everyone knowing about this incredible spot, just as long as they magically save me a table EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I want to waltz in and have my Ahi betel leaf and wing bean salad waiting, no questions asked. Pro tip: Tell everyone about this place, but like, not TOO many people. I’m counting on you to spread the word juuuust enough to keep the owner thriving, but not so much that I can’t get a seat. Deal? Seriously though, this place is a game-changer. Come hungry, come curious, but maybe call ahead.

We came on a Saturday night for dinner. We found street parking but know that parking can be challenging. I'm Thai, make Thai food and have been to Thailand so I was excited to try this place despite really caring to go to C-town on a weekend. The decor is quirky, bright and fun. Service was great. We ordered quite a few dishes to the point our server who I believe to be the owner, asked if we should remove a couple of dishes. Nope. We can hold our own with food and we can always take home leftovers. Well, I was perplexed as all our dishes were pretty sweet. I asked for papaya salad medium and it was as if no chili was in it. The springroll was lukewarm and mushy inside. I ordered the khao soi w chicken on the side (i'm pescatarian) and that too was sweet. The mr had the panang cow cheek and also said it was sweet. The beef dumpling was sweet as well. Roti came late and was super oily. We were informed they use butter. I get that, but it was oozing with oil. I've had roti in Thailand and it's not the same. The fried rice was good, so I'd come back for that. I'm not sure if they're catering to an American palate but again, no spice level and smaller portions. We're glad we didn't take any orders off. Perhaps many come as a group and they share a bunch of things. Not sure, but I'd like more variety in taste. This place is also BYOB which was confusing as they have a Singha sign in front, but don't serve alcohol. Also, if you want vegetarian, you have to ask for that menu as it's separate.

I was already excited when I read reviews and saw photos of the gorgeous food, but even my hopeful expectations were blown away. When I say we were exclaiming aloud after every bite, I mean it. Between the two of us we could have tried half of the very large menu but we restrained ourselves. Every dish was so flavorful, distinctive, and texturally varied. Our server was also so sweet and gave great recommendations! The music was quite groovy as well with seamless transitions. I'm surprised they're open til 3am, but I'm not complaining- Chinatown definitely could use more late night food spots. Everything we tried was fantastic but in particular I recommend the school of fried fish appetizer, betel nut ahi wraps, soft shell crab curry, and beef tongue. Very much looking forward to trying everything else!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I originally left a negative review after a disappointing first experience, but I want to update it because of how the chef personally handled the situation.

When I brought my concerns forward, the very chef I had criticized took the time to sit down with me — after hours — and genuinely listen. He even refunded me $20 and, more importantly, had a one-hour conversation with me about each dish I ordered — the fried chicken, the rice, and the tonkotsu ramen. He wanted to know exactly what I thought and where improvements could be made.

Ultimately, I asked that the sapper Smith rehires the individual that they fired based off of my initial complaint/review.. I am willing to update or change my review to a five-star review if they can show written proof that they rehired the individual that they initially fired without cause.

The fact that he stayed late, off the clock, to address my concerns shows how deeply he cares about the food he serves and the experience his customers have. His level of dedication and sincerity was unlike anything I’ve experienced at a restaurant before.

That said, I was saddened to learn that the server involved with my order was later let go because of this situation. From my perspective, she did not deserve to lose her job, and I sincerely hope the restaurant will consider rehiring her. Accountability should never fall solely on one staff member, especially when the chef himself was so willing to step in and make things right.

Because of the chef’s genuine care and effort, I am changing my review to 5 stars. This isn’t just about food — it’s about a business that values feedback, with a chef who is passionate enough to give up his own time to ensure quality. I only ask that the same spirit of fairness and understanding also extend to the staff who support him. Please rehire the employee that you fired because of the situation. That is not acceptable.

Aside from these complaints, I am still slightly concerned about the quality of the food. I believe the owners are skipping on quality and ingredients and instead of placing the responsibility on the chef who is doing his absolute best. I trust the food but I do not trust the establishment...
