I try to be supportive and understanding to all businesses during this difficult time. Two Tides Bar was a full service bar, now, there is no table service, you will need to go up the bar and order food and drinks. Then you have to go to the front of the bar to pick up your own drinks and food to take to your table. They even made this poor girl walk from the back of the bar to the front to get her food, when the person delivering the food was just 5 feet away. This is the clincher, they expect you to clear your own table and drop empty glasses to the bar and take your used dishes to a tray at left side of bar. The bartenders will even call out table numbers so the customer can pick up their order. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with this style of service, I did all the leg work, I might as well pour my own beer. Management needs to reevaluate this service, I have no reason to return if this continues. Good...
Read moreOverall, the bar is good. Happy hour is until 6 and its $2 off beers. The bar is located upstairs above whole foods. The 4 stars is for the lack of dark beers (porters and stouts.) This is a common theme in hawaii; people tend to prefer light beer over dark beer (maybe because of the illogical belief that dark beers "warm" you up while light beers are "refreshing ". This is unfortunate for dark beer lovers. Although they only serve 2 dark beers, they are both very good beers. The imperial coconut is in my top 5 beers of all time. They have live music and plenty of seating, including long tables for larger groups. You can buy hot wings, sandwiches, or a poke bowl right there, or bring up some food from downstairs. The bar has wine and liquor, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Suggestion: bring in a couple more dark beers. A GREAT one is the Dark Sabbath from big island brewhaus. It's a dark hefe...
Read moreThis is my go to chill spot, because it is a total MOOD. You can chill to the live music/song thurs & fri inside or on the balcony w/ a lovely breeze and view of the fabulous condos across the way. I love that I have food options downstairs in the store or from the bar menu. My favorite dish is the Spicy Cauliflower Nachos, they're soooooo delicious! Drinks are on point and folk are friendly. I only gave it 4 stars because my last visit I stayed til close and walked away from my table/food and went back and the clean up crew had thrown it all away. Yes, the food that I had plenty leftover for next day...
