I recently discovered this place, and it has become one of my favorite places to grab lunch. I am not on a vegetarian diet, but I am trying to eat a more plant-based diet. So far everything I have ordered here has been quite tasty and the portion size is reasonable for the price. The servers have always been friendly, and the place looks clean. Today was the second time trying their tofu poke "bowl" special. I opted to get the poke with all greens, and I like that the "bowl" came with two varieties of tofu poke: limu and spicy. Both were good, but I liked the limu better. The spicy poke was good, but there was a bit too much sauce, which made it a bit salty, and it was not spicy at all. I would definitely get it again, when it is available. Looking forward to trying all the...

I am often intimidated by vegetarian/vegan places as a carnivore. However, having just destroyed a 3-choice plate lunch at 'Umeke Market with as much gusto as a starving fat kid at Old Country Buffet... Well, this place blew me away.

I already miss the Korean Mock Chicken (totally worth the extra 1.50) and the last bite is still in my mouth at the time of this post. Spinach Dahl (pronounced dall, I think) also excellent. Rice tasted very healthy. We also had the Kale Falafel (not pronounced kah-lay like this moron did whilst ordering) and it was alright, but nothing special. Recommend getting a 2-choice plate, get the spinach dahl, the mock chicken, and whatever side floats your boat. If you get a salad side, get the...

Nourishing. Delicious. Restorative. Pono. This is definitely the place to go eat after a hard battle at the nearby Capitol, Courthouse, or other edifice of Colonizer Babylon. This is real warrior food that sustains and builds inner strength. Some favorites: the Nachos (omg so good!), the kalo stew, the spring rolls. They often sell day-old musubi for cheap; these are an amazing deal for a fast cheap refuel! And who else has a Kū Kia’i Mauna flag behind the counter in downtown Honolulu?? That alone gets 5 atmosphere stars in my book. Don’t take my word for it. Try it. If you are a kia’i interested in vegan food but a little scared to try any kine place, this is an awesome place to start! Kū...
