I recently stumbled upon Wing Ice Cream in Chinatown while wandering around the fascinating streets of Oahu. This tiny ice cream shop is an absolute gem! Wing Ice Cream’s decor is chic and minimalist, with bright neon lights adding a funky touch. The atmosphere is lively and fun, making it the perfect spot to stop and refuel after a bustling day in Chinatown. Their ice cream selection is out of this world! Their unique flavors showcase exciting and adventurous ingredients, from matcha green tea to Thai iced tea, black sesame, and banana caramel. I could barely decide which flavor to get! Each scoop of ice cream is creamy, dreamy, and packed with flavor. They even offer a dairy-free option for those who are vegan or lactose intolerant. The service at Wing Ice Cream is fantastic, the ownerhimself scooped the ice cream! You can tell he's passionate about what they do! If you find yourself in Chinatown, do not miss out on Wing Ice Cream. It truly is the coolest ice cream shop in the area, maybe the island! Their creative ice cream is a work of art, and their interior design is on point. I would definitely recommend this hip spot to anyone looking for an exciting and delicious ice cream experience!

I came here with some friends after dinner and was very excited because they have coconut based ice cream. It’s tough to find dairy free ice cream in Honolulu. When we arrived we took a peek inside the ice cream case and found 3 available flavors. Two of the flavors were obscure and I had no idea what they might taste like. I believe one was called “pandan leaf”. One of my friends asked to try a taste of one of the flavors to which the told us that they do not offer any samples. They also said that we were welcome to purchase a tasting flight so we could see what all of the flavors taste like. It would be great to be able to try the flavor before committing, especially if it is a non traditional flavor, so you know what to expect. I think that’s part of the fun when going out for ice cream, tasting things you would have never considered and finding a new favorite! It would go along way in terms of customer service and customer satisfaction and I think people would want to purchase more knowing they will like what they ordered. Thankfully the flavor I chose tasted nice, even though I had no frame of reference of what it might be like.

Mmmm delish! Ice cream that isn't overly sugary to be sweet. Well done! Definitely recommend for a great treat. Don't expect friendly conversation or even a greeting from the staff (owner?) though. I don't think I will frequent the parlor just for that reason. I tried chocolate and the premium caramel turtle flavor (premium is a specialty and costs +.50¢). Though the chocolate didn't look rich, but it certainly tasted wonderful. Heads up! Parking is a bit tight in Chinatown, but the blocks are short so don't worry if you have to park a block out like we did. Bonus: Sundays are free street parking. The parlor itself is a little discreet, until you lock your eyes on it. Look for the fluorescent sign: Wing [w/ an] ice cream cone, and enjoy!

Well, I have been trying to hit up this place for years, but my timing and their hours have always been off. Finally was around at the right time and glad I finally experienced this place.

To my surprise and delight, they have black licorice ice cream. I know black licorice is an acquired taste, but I am nuts about the flavor. Of course I had to try it. The ice cream had a pleasant silkiness to it that wasn't to thick or heavy, yet was creamy. It wasn't overly frozen, which was good to see the overall quality, but bad for the hot Hawaii weather that almost turned it into a puddle instantly.

I think if you weren't into the black licorice flavor, you still might like this because the flavor was very light. For me personally, I would have preferred a bit more intense of a black licorice flavor. Overall, it was very good and I enjoyed it.

The place is small and a little funky in design which makes it even more unique. It was clean and appeared to be well kept despite being located off the dirty streets of Chinatown. Don't have much to say about the service since I basically pointed, paid, and left.

If I get lucky again when in Chinatown, I will plan on stopping in again to try some of their other flavors and recommend any ice cream lover to...

This is the best ice cream shop I’ve been to in Hawaii. I decided to try the dairy free options which honestly ended up being just as good, if not better than any other dairy ice cream I’ve tried. I have some friends who are vegan and one friend who is dairy intolerant so I really appreciate that there is a place I can take them to enjoy dessert.

I don’t even care that you can’t sample things, trust me, every flavor these guys make will be delicious and you can opt for the flight which comes with multiple flavors if you’re worried about it. Prices are inexpensive anyways so stop being a baby and don’t complain about not being able to try the chocolate icecream smh

Anyways..my boyfriend got the Mayan Chocolate which actually tasted like Mexican hot chocolate my Mexican grandma used to make me!! I got the black sesame, it was true to its flavor upped with a little bit of sweetness and perfect mixed with the Mayan chocolate or the green tea ice cream. This place is great the staff is cool and chill and you can really tell they are passionate about their product & the best part is they make EVERYTHING fresh and in house! I can’t...
