Have mixed feelings about this place. I really liked the atmosphere and enjoyed some outdoor seating, the problem was mainly with my service, the server came off a little strong. She asked everyone from their ID's and tried to tell my bf that his was expired and argued when we told her it wasn't and had her recheck the expiration date -December 2017 after realizing her mistake she then tossed it across the table back. When asked questions about the menu she was unsure of price differences and not very informative. After we ordered my water remained empty until we flagged down after server to ask for more. Upon receiving food it looked great except for my grilled cheese had tri-tip added on which I didn't ask for, she had them make a new one but left me with my plate to munch on my chips which was nice. My bf and friend really enjoyed their food and thought it was pretty good. After they had finished I received my new grilled cheese, this time it has crunched up chips inside?? I thought that was weird, no mention on the menu of them. Oh well I was hungry. After that the service was very slow getting a check. Overall it seemed to be an alright place just had some...

The good: nice atmosphere outside and some good drink options. The food menu is appealing. The staff is friendly.

The bad: had a mezcal old fashioned while my wife had a rum old fashioned that appeared to have any sugar left out of it. Not very good. Afterwards we tried to order dinner to share and they were out of 50% of the menu. No pork philly or pork nachos. Even the salad we inquired about wasn’t available. She listed what was available on the menu which was about 5 things. That was super disappointing and made me wonder why we actually went there. Wouldn’t take that chance again. The staff was very friendly and was attentive for a while. After we had an appetizer we sat and waited and waited and waited. Between talking with friends for 15 minutes and dancing inside by herself she wasn’t really paying attention so we had to get up and go get someone to take our food order, which they didn’t have much of.

Overall I like the idea of Camp 1805 with a creative cocktail list with their own spirits. But too many other things were missing, like the food and...

I'm fairly new to the area & we try to check out different spots on the weekends. We really wanted to try this place because the menu looked great, but we read a bunch of bad reviews with snarky comebacks from the owner...which kinda made me want to try it even more. 😏 And I'm sooooo glad we did!!!! We were warmly greeted as we entered & seated immediately (not expected for a Friday night at prime dinner/drinks hour). We ordered drinks & our meals almost immediately after we finished reading the menu & it was delivered in standard timing (no long wait even though it was crowded). The non-alcoholic drink I ordered was refreshing & delicious (sorry I can't remember which one it was!). Above all else, my Summer Poke & Rice Bowl was friggin' DELICIOUS! Flavors were light & blended so well together! It was exactly what I wanted. And Tlthe waitress was so sweet after we were done, with the right amount of friendly & professional. All around...I don't know what the heck those other reviewers were smokin' but I know we'll...

AMAZING food, ambience and service. We are unclear why you were given a one star by a previous guest but your signs and website clearly indicate this is 21+. The lava cake with whiskey Carmel glaze was amazing. Revising our review. We came back the next day and ordered the ribs, expedition chicken and pork nachos family style. We were later told that the chicken would not be ready for 45 mins so we switched it to the hummus plate. The waiter offered olives and almonds as an apology. He later came back to apologize that we got the wrong pork belly nacho order and had given us someone else's order. When we asked for our dessert (we had pre-ordered when we sat), he notifies us later on that the kitchen ran out of the only dessert they offered the night before. Our experience the next day was such a let down considering it was hardly busy on a Sunday afternoon and we got there right as they opened.

Camp is the only true cocktail bar in Hood River. They pretty much make everything in house aside from the maraschino cherries. They have a small distillery on site and the staff has been the same for the last couple of years, which is always challenging to do in the food and beverage industry and a testament to ownership and management. The David Bowie and Aztec Ruins are personal favorites... as are the nachos and grilled cheese w/ tomato soup. If you can make it for happy hour, which runs until 6 PM (a true rarity these days) you'll find most of the crowd favorite drinks and some of the best food items on the menu... and, they are not pared down nor skimped on. Always fun to sit at the bar and watch some really beautiful drinks be made. Bottom line: really like the product, staff and location can't be beat. Kudos.
