Waffle House — Restaurant in Hoover

I am a manager in the customer service industry. I deal with customers in every aspect. Customer is everything to me! And if you can NOT deliver excellent customer service then this is not the place to work. First off, I notice the older cook did not want to fix my food… ok cool. He passed it to the younger man who had no problem preparing it. However, my bacon was left off and I brought it to the waiters attention and she asked the older cook to add the bacon. He picked up a plate of bacon he was preparing for someone else and basically threw it in the to go box. I had a Texas melt SANDWICH which means it comes with bacon on the SANDWICH….

My waffle was half done, but the young man at least tried to make sure my food out at a decent time.

The older man has a horrible attitude and does not need to be in customer service especially in front of the house. I would not be complaining had it not been from his attitude.

I stopped here 2 weekends ago and left with the impression the employees were biased and discriminatory. A friend and I had just left Barrister's Tavern karaoke up the street, and stopped to sit for a bite to eat. We're a both "Black" Americans. Before we even get out of our vehicles good, a male employee was standing in the parking lot kinda yelling over to us that we "can't stay, there's no dining in and we have to get our food to go". We thought it was weird, but ok. We walk in and the woman taking our order at the register told us the same thing; she had a cold demeanor, wasnt friendly or welcoming to us. The whole work crew seemed like that. While we're waiting on our food, 4 "White" women came in, half naked just about, looking methed out and/or high. They ordered and were told to have a seat. They went and sat in a booth. My friend and I took note, got our food and said amongst ourselves that we definitely are not coming back to this Waffle House. The employees looked like "The Hills Have Eyes" and had the nerve to act like that; they should be as welcoming as possible and glad people dont turn around and leave at the sight of them. Horrible waffle house. My plate with the eggs on it was not clean. The waiter brought out half my order and I said I ordered 3 waffles. Just as a reminder because she didn't say anything about them. She turned around and said good things come to those who wait. She wasn't friendly when she said it. I eventually ordered them to go because my husband was done with his food. She brought them out one waffle in a disposable container with top off. My point is the three containers with one waffle each didn't have tops on them. So she was stacking the bottom of the containers on my waffles themselves. From where I was sitting I was looking in the kitchen and a waitress with a glove on scratched the back of her pants. She then got two pieces of bread with her hand still in the glove and put them on the stove. Do not go in this place. I complained to the lady at the register about our waiter.
