I went through the drive-thru seeing as how the dining area is closed due to covid. I placed placed my order, being sure to speak loud and clear. The wait time was to be expected given the time of day. I go to the window, get my food and pull into a parking spot to check my order. I asked for the 7.99 2 can dine deal, five chicken tenders(for my kids), and instead I found five random pieces of chicken. Not what I wanted or ordered. The drive-thru was backed up so I walked up to the entrance door, which was locked, and began knocking. After a minute, a couple of the employees noticed me standing there but instead of coming to the door started gesturing for me to go back through the drive-thru. I pointed at the box of food in my hand and shook my head no trying to somehow explain to them that my order was wrong and I wasn’t about to sit in line again all while letting the rest of my food get cold. A young man came to the door, I stepped back several feet being respectful of social distancing, and told him what the problem was. He then continued to argue with me saying that they gave me what I asked for. I assured him they did not and offered to show him the details of the offer on the Popeyes website. He finally took my food from me and I ended up standing there another three or minutes before a woman brought my food back out to me. She told me they left the other chicken in the box because they couldn’t take it back for obvious health reasons. I thanked her and left. It didn’t end there though. I finally get the food back to my family and my fries are cold, soggy, and undercooked. My chicken sandwich was a mess and mostly skin, I didn’t bother to finish it. The chicken tenders I had to fight for were not tenders at all. Instead, it was a mixture of flat, misshapen chicken pieces. I’m more than disappointed and won’t...

Read moreThis was by far one of the most disappointing visits since I've been coming to Popeye's. I ordered my food online. I chose to pick my order up at the drive-thru. I anticipated a wait - that's not unusual. While waiting, I observed several customers getting their orders, but coming back into the store with their order. After I got mine, I checked to see if everything was in the bag. It was not. I was missing a regular Mac and cheese and a large red beans and rice. Nothing had been said at the window that those items were not in the bag. Nothing else was offered as a substitute. I drove around the building and got back in the drive-thru line. An employee came to the window, and I told them of the missing items. He asked me to come inside. I parked, got out, and went inside. There were nine people in line ahead of me. After some time, an employee asked if they could help. I explained my missing items, and at that point, I was told they had no side items except for fries. I asked if I could get fries as a substitute for my missing items, and she said yes. She gave me my fries, and I left the store. I counted eight (8) employees behind the counter. The majority of them were huddled in clusters of two and three, and they did not appear to be working. If the store was completely out of everything except chicken, fries, biscuits, and desserts, this should have been made known to the customer. If the side items only needed to be prepared, there appeared to be plenty of employees who could have done that task. I expect better communication from Popeye's to their customers. Sunday at 6:00 pm is a bad time to run out of all sides...
