For fans of Missouri City's Tornado Burger, there's this second location in Spring Branch. Uber fans might even remember that the folks who started Tornado Burger in Missouri City originally took over Tornado Taco to start their own business. Looks like the old business couldn't stay away, because you can see they painted over the "Burger" on their street sign and covered it up with a "Taco."
So, walk right up to Tornado Taco #2 and you'll see it primarily an outdoor joint with a nice covered patio. You can hang out in the small air-conditioned room, but I recommend going al fresco. And when you're thinking about ordering, don't necessarily go straight for the tacos. I know, I know, the tacos have replaced the burgers - but they still have their old standards on the menu! They started off trying to do a Houston-style In-N-Out, incorporating their own twists into a fast food style burger. For example, you can get a spicy burger - with jalapenos ground right with the freshly ground meat. For a milder option, consider getting a double meat burger, with one spicy patty and one regular patty for a less powerful heat.
Do take advantage of the varied menu though - they even have gyros and philly cheesesteaks. Their focus seems to be on the Mexican: many tacos (two styles), tortas, quesadillas, and more. It's a very diverse menu for a fast food joint. And, the food really is fairly good.
This place has a lot going for it - but I will withhold one star because of their very inconvenient hours. 7a-3p every day. Don't even think about coming here for dinner. For us 8-5 working class folks, that means this is a weekend-only place. If you're in the area, try...
Read moreI truly love authentic tacos. They’re right up there with BLT’s, a quality Porterhouse, and the best étouffée. I can’t get enough. I’d probably eat street tacos everyday if I could. 7Taco makes one great taco!! I only found it yesterday. It’s close to my doctor so I was just looking for some good food close to his office. The reviews were phenomenal so I had to check it out. Yes. The reviews are accurate. The quality of these tacos is right up there with some of the best! And they have a drive-through, which is always a bonus. Pick your shell, your protein, toppings, and cheese. One taco is less than $2.50 if you aren’t adding a bunch of toppings. I keep mine pretty simple. Steak, grilled onion, cilantro, cotija. Ooooh, and they have the best creamy habanero salsa and they’re generous with it! Get an order of chips and salsa for a few bucks. They’re easily big enough to split with the wife. The tacos are a generous size too. Each of us would get two tacos and split an order of chips and salsa. Now, I could “force” myself to eat two more, easily. But I’m not trying to make myself miserable. The chips are a little thicker than I usually prefer but this is okay if you’re on the road. They stand up to a load of salsa and won’t break, spilling salsa all over your lap while ridding down the road. Food was really great! Service was also great! Everyone was very friendly. I like that a lot. These days it’s hard to find. I will be frequenting this place when in that part of Houston. I’d probably even make a special trip (from League City) just to eat there. Give it a try! You’ll be...

I pull into drive thru and was waiting to order when asked male worker came out side door and told me they were closed. I asked what time they close he said 2:30pm. I replied back but it's only 2:24pm. He said we're closed and walked back in. I checked the website and it said they closed at 3pm. So I pulled to front and walked up to where you place orders there was two other customers who pulled up and walked up behind me at same time when calling out hello a lady came said sorry we are closed I asked what time they close she said 230pm. I asked where was her business hours posted and she shrugged her shoulders. I stated the website says you close at 3pm she said she was sorry she only works there and they close at 230 and looked at lady pulling register out of drive thru with this worried look on her face. If you close at a certain time you are suppose to serve your customers up until the time you close. I have video to post but it's too long to post on her so ill.post on social media. I will not be coming...
