Atmosphere was ok. The place had a good amount of people eating. Waitress was nice and helpful. Food pricing for breakfast was cheap. Chips and salsa were good. Food came out really really fast and hot. But and this is a BIG BUT the food was not good at all. I was like you can't really mess up breakfast. We'll they did. The refied beans looked as if they were refried several times and were watery. The over medium eggs were blan and the fajita meat was not good. That was my plate. My wife had the chilquilles they to were not good at all to the point where she took a couple of bites and left here plate. The tortillas tasted weird and the chilquilles were more like migas they mixed the eggs in them and loaded it with melted cheese instead of queso fresco. My sister said the menudo was good there so I asked for a sample. The waitress was nice enough to give me a sample. I called my sister after we left and told her the menudo was not good at all. I could tell when they first brought it out the color was not right and it smelled like they did not clean it right before cooking. I tried it any way and glad I didn't order a bowl. I paid my meal and tipped the waitress. Not a food critic but I do like food and sorry to say I will never return. Take this review...

The place has always been an excellent meal for me, I've always enjoyed going for many reasons. For one main reason the food is delicious and has this way of making you feel like it was home cooked, regardless of who you came with or how you got there it has always made me feel like there was live and preparation put into the meal long before I even say down and ate it. Two I've always loved the staff and friendly faces that I have found there they've always tried their best to understand and additionally always catered to me and my church group that goes late at night, no matter the time it was always consistent to be able to be treated with respect and dignity coming from them. And third but not last I've always loved the family atmosphere that provides many joyous times even through the pandemic, I've come many times and each time I still felt a slice of what life was like before all the crazy covid-19 stuff happened. In my personal opinion this place has earned my respect and admiration and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good family place to go to, and as for a meal recommendation I would order...

If you order fajitas by the pound, just be aware that you will NOT receive the sizzling, off-the-grill fajita meat that most people know as fajitas. Instead, you'll get chopped and pan-cooked (or maybe stir-fried) pieces of meat. The chicken tasted good, but the beef was very plain and boring.

This was my second time trying this place. First time, I ate there and the food was great and the prices were even better. But I didn't order fajitas the first time.

This time, I placed a pick up order over the phone. I called them at 5:30 and placed the order to be picked up at 7:30. I showed up at 7:35 and they hadn't even started preparing my order yet. So (patiently and naively) I sat there while they got started. In hindsight, I probably should have just taken it as a sign to leave. Because I ended up paying almost $100 ($115 after including tip, which I regretfully chose to give) for food that was not what we expected and only decent/mediocre in terms of taste.

Good enough though to give them another (third) try at some point. But as of now, it's been a...

Casa de Leon is a restaurant located in the Spring Branch, at 9217 Long Point (corner with Campbell). I have loved this restaurant for many years and consistently coming back for the great service, food and family atmosphere! The food is awesome! Love the Breakfast Options! They have some great deals for both lunch and dinner too. The Fajita tacos are my favorite :) And the Breakfast Chorizo! Or if you are really hungry they have some great bigger combo plates and some amazing options The service is always fast and the place is always clean. The owner takes great pride in his establishment, you will see him working with his staff on the front line or you may even see him help with the cleaning of the restaurant! This place is a small and simply restaurant, but with a lot of great food! And Great Taste!!!

Stopped in with a buddy for a couple of Micheladas with Pacifico, and they really hit the spot easily a 9/10! They reminded me of the ones from Connie’s or Mambo’s Seafood, which is saying a lot. The chips and green salsa came out fresh, flavorful, and with just the right kick of spice. I tried a couple of tacos the Barbacoa was solid (8/10) while the beef was more average (6/10). Still, the overall food quality and flavor made it worth it. Service was excellent attentive, quick, and genuinely friendly. The spot has a true taqueria vibe with mostly local Latino customers, which adds to the authentic feel. Great place for a casual bite, affordable prices, and especially tasty Micheladas. I’d definitely come back if I’m in the area.

Always see this place when I drive along Long Point Rd and was feeling a bit hungry so we stopped in. Very no frills establishment but enough seating. Server was kind and welcoming and always had a smile on her face and spoke English so there was no language barrier for us. Menu had lots of options and I settled for the T bone steak and hubby got shrimp Diablo. Rice and beans were a bit bland but steak was well seasoned and tasted great. The shrimp was not what we expected but never the less tasted ok. They were salad size shrimp cooked in a thick tomato based sauce. I will go back and try something else. There were daily specials posted outside as well. Very unassuming little place with humble staff. I liked that.
