Walked in to the place. Smiling, pleasant, just about to finish a shift. Had no issues in the day... until this place. Stood at the front desk for a few minutes. The staff saw me, people were slightly moving around but not doing anything. No biggie, I greet them and let them know I'm there for uber eats. Still no real moves. Finally a boy works there, scuffs his nose up at me and demands to see my phone. The behavior and actions let me know he was implying that I was there to steal some food. Even though I already had my phone up ANNND the app requires you to scan the receipt to clear the order , I gave my phone over. And it's almost like he was irritated that he hadn't caught me stealing. Went and handed the food over, not even giving eye contact. with an attitude. Never seen anything like it. I was dressed appropriately, My look is neat and professional and I came in smiling. The whole thing felt very shocking to me. It's nothing I've ever experienced. Felt very racially motivated. When he handed my food to me looking away I said "wow, that's rude" The boy rolled his eyes. I scanned my receipt right there as you must to receive the food. And left. I felt overwhelmed leaving the place. Got to the corner and paused for a good minute. I reallllllly wanted to go back in there And tell them how inappropriate it was to treat me like that. I had a few orders left in my car and didn't want to risk my ratings by being tardy so I just left it. I still think about it and this had to have been a week ago. Its unfortunate that racists in this country still exists and some of them minorities themselves. If I would give any advice I'd suggest providing the kind of service you'd want to receive yourselves and letting go of the bigotry. Its unbecoming. Be blessed.
And to my community I'd advise supporting ONLY the businesses that support, appreciate and are respectful to you, This company is not...
Read moreOrdered General Tso’s it was great how ever we also order Walnut shrimp which is new on the menu- it was horrible the shrimp tasted very very fishy. So I let the waitress know, she took the plate to trash it. And talk to us so that I could convey to him that it was not a very tasty meal however no manager ever came so when I went to go and pay at the register, I told the manager and he said oh well I can’t comp it because there was eight shrimps on there and you ate More than one in reality. I have a picture of it and there was only five shrimps on there, they were five jumbo butterfly shrimps… so the next thing I know he told me his name was Jean he was our waiter so I called the 888 on wayside to let the owner know because I have never had a waiter yell at me as he did. Anyhow the owner no longer owns the 888 on wayside so on to find out where she is located. I’ve been going to 888 since it was on Winkler by Gulfgate the owner, there was pleasant always always wanted to know how the food tasted. If it didn’t taste well she would comp it or she would bring out something else this waiter that I had didn’t even offer to give something in place of the meal when I only ate one shrimp actually one and a half, and the whole meal was still there. I just wanted to make sure that it was just you know that shrimp that was nasty, but unfortunately, it was all of them and you could smell it Even through the sauce that they put it on. The presentation was beautiful, but the shrimp was horrible and I hope the owner reads this because this reflects...
Read moreIf I could give them zero stars I would! I tried to order online from my job which is less than a 5 mile distance from the restaurant in order for them to deliver but they could not for some reason. So, I ordered by phone to pick up my order I placed my order and ordered a orange chicken and spring rolls. When I go to pick it up I tell them my name and they repeat my order, I told them I ordered the orange chicken not the general tso chicken. The lady at the front was pretty rude I told them I ordered by phone this defeats the purpose of picking up my food if it is not put in correctly so I had to wait 5 minutes for "FRESH" food. After her little attitude and the cashiers attitude They were saying "do you want the order or not because we are making you a fresh plate". If not for being with work people I would've just walked out. As I go back to my office I tasted the "FRESH' orange chicken and they literally had the same chicken that they put in wrong and tried to disguise it as orange chicken!!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED WITH THE PLACE! and the spring roll I ordered wasn't even a spring roll it was a fried EGG roll!. I will never come back here not only for the rude attitudes but for the distgusting food they try to pass off as chicken. Do not go to this location I have been to an 888 restaurant located in Pearland, It is clean and the food is fresh and Not some mystery meat they pass...
