03/20/21-I’ve only ever visited Amy’s ice cream‘s once and that was two years ago. I remember that I really did enjoy their ice cream and decided that I wanted to revisit since I haven’t been here in a while. I honestly wish I never came. There was a small line and I decided to wait with a couple of my friends. I noticed that one of the guys working there was not wearing gloves and that was a big red flag to me because the person who is not wearing gloves was also serving ice cream in an ice cream cone to another customer and touched the ice cream cone with his bare hands. He overheard our conversation and asked if we were OK and we said not really because you’re not wearing gloves and that’s unsanitary considering we are in a pandemic as well. He said that well I wash my hands so I’m good. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. I noticed that another guy that was working with him was wearing gloves so I decided maybe I should just wait and get ice cream served by the other person instead. But then I also noticed that the same guy that was not wearing gloves was also continuing to serve other customers with his bare hands and not wear gloves at all. At this point I decided I would just leave because I think that is extremely disgusting and unhygienic and unprofessional of him to display such behavior in front of customers especially since Amy’s ice cream is very well known in the area. Would I recommend this ice cream parlor to anyone? Definitely not. Who works in a food establishment and doesn’t wear gloves especially with ice cream?

I highly recommend going here if you love ice cream!!! My brother and I were driving back home from a part of Houston we’ve never been to before when we passed a COW… HOLDING. ICE CREAM!!! I IMMEDIATELY skrted the car into that parking lot. We were greeted by the nicest employee ever - his name is Peter :) I told him both my brother and I aren’t from Texas and literally randomly decided to stop here just now and his energy made the whole experience (alongside the ice cream)!!! He said we could try as many flavors of ice cream as we wanted which was lovely to hear as that always gives me, an indecisive queen - ANXIETY. He was so helpful and kind and gave us the rundown of how everything worked while making us laugh the entire time! I got half mango, half belgian chocolate. My brother got half oreo, half belgian chocolate. THE ICE CREAM IS TO DIE FOR!!! It is so creamy, just the right amount of sweetness… i could eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner… and then get it for dessert again 😭 and this is coming from a lactose intolerant girly. Anyways, give my boy Peter a raise, and please open an Amy’s Ice Cream in Columbus, OH and Chicago, IL as that is where I live <3

Terrible Experience. The second I walked in it smelled like a dirty bathroom. I turn around and see a water fountain that looks like it’s never been cleaned and the cups on it are covered in dust. The flavor selection was very limited and nothing like what was shown online. The counter that’s used for crushing the toppings into the ice cream was very dirty and was not wiped off after each use. There were spots of old ice cream residue all over the counter. I got dark chocolate and sweet cream. The ice cream was very basic and tasted like store bought ice cream. It was not good at all. I couldn’t finish it, it just wasn’t worth the calories to eat that horrible ice cream, and who knows how sanitary it is. I was visiting from New York and thought it would be a good place to try, but I’ll never go back and would not recommend whatsoever. Go to Ben and Jerry’s nearby instead.

Coming here was a big mistake that I will never make again. I came in with my three-year-old son, and I immediately noticed how dirty the place is. Because of COVID, they don't allow customers to eat inside, so I guess they think it's not necessary to clean the dining area. There wasn't a wait, but the girl behind the counter acted as if our presence there was truly bothering her. She never spoke to us, but she did glance up, so I ordered two small cups of Mexican Vanilla, one with Oreo crush-ins for my son. She rolled her eyes but promptly dealt with my order. She then put both cups next to the checkout and went to the next customer. We waited for someone to take my money all while smelling spoiled milk coming from behind the counter. Instead, some other young female employee comes up to us from outside the counter and barks at me, "Ma'am! Y'all can't just hang around in here. Y'all have to leave!" I tried to explain to her that I hadn't yet paid, but she ignored me and went behind the counter. After a few more minutes, I got the attention of the girl who scooped our ice cream and told her that I needed to pay. She rolled her eyes again and came over and rang up my order, without saying a word. I paid, and we walked outside. I immediately noticed that the ice cream was runny and lumpy. I don't think it was mixed well enough or kept at the proper temperature, which probably accounts for the bad smell at the counter. I certainly didn't trust it to be safe for consumption. I had to explain to my son that the ice cream was bad and would make his tummy hurt. I promised him that we would find some good, safe ice cream, and I threw what we had in the garbage. I did a search on my phone and found a Ben and Jerry's nearby. Fortunately, that store was clean and smelled good, and the employees were friendly and helpful. They also allow customers to eat inside, and they have tables outside. Neither my son nor I spent the rest of the week in the toilet, so I'm pretty sure that the ice cream was safe to eat. I HIGHLY recommend avoiding Amy's Ice Creams at all costs because of the filth and the rude employees. There are MUCH better options in the area, including the Ben and...

Nestled in the heart of town lies Amy's Ice Cream, a haven for those seeking exceptional homemade frozen delights. The ice cream here is nothing short of spectacular, boasting flavors that dance on the palate and leave you craving more with each spoonful. Service at Amy's, while a bit leisurely, is redeemed by the warm and inviting demeanor of its staff. One standout among them is a young gentleman sporting glasses, whose attentive care transformed my 30 min wait into a delightful experience. Seeing him back after an absence was a pleasant surprise, and his presence truly enhances the charm of this establishment. As for the ambiance, the only slight drawback was the volume of the music, which I found a tad too loud for comfortable conversation. A minor adjustment here could elevate the overall experience for patrons looking to savor their treats in a more relaxed atmosphere. However, the highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the impeccable service extended to my family. Despite the flurry of activity behind the counter, our server ensured that we were promptly attended to, making us feel like valued guests in the midst of the hustle and bustle. It was very nice of him to start a small conversation as he was working his way down the line until he got to my family we got to talking and I learned that he went to school in Kansas which happened to be not far from where I myself went to school. One small hiccup arose when I noticed a discrepancy in the promotional offerings. While a free Crushin' has always been advertised for guessing the quote, I noticed a tall gentleman gave someone else a free ice cream coupon while everyone who has worked there in the past gives a free Crushin'. It's a minor detail, but consistency in promotional offerings could enhance the customer experience and ensure fairness for all patrons. In conclusion, Amy's Ice Cream is a delightful destination for those craving homemade frozen treats. With its exceptional flavors and attentive service, it's no wonder this place holds a special place in the hearts of many. I will definitely be coming back and my family and I look forward to seeing...

I've been coming to this place for over a decade and I don't know what's been going on since the last two visits, whether its the restrictions from COVID or employees behind the counter.

Two of the ladies behind the counter don't seem to care about welcoming you into the establishment. A "Hello" or "Welcome" has been replaced by a very loud "Did you make sure to sanitize!" As a quick note, they barked at a couple behind us to go back and sanitize as they approached the counter to order. Its wasn't a polite request, that's the part that I find appalling. To go with that they're not polite at all in asking you where to stand, they tend to bark orders there as well like you're a 6 year old.

My wife works in healthcare, so we take COVID seriously. We wear surgical masks out in public, and have zero issues with social distancing. We're also curious why the ladies behind the counter aren't switching out their gloves between each serving AND after they have been touching the credit card machine up front. How can you bark orders to customers in regards to sanitation, while wearing the same pair of gloves when serving ice cream, touching your hair, and then proceed to touch a screen and credit card machine. I have no problem whatsoever social distancing and sanitizing, but please give me the same respect when handling my food.

To the manager: Fix your employees attitudes when people come in, we're spending over 30-40 dollars on ice cream in each trip that I can easily get at the grocery store or a mega chain with out the BS.

The plastic that you have covering not only makes it difficult to read whats on the menu but it also makes it difficult to hear. I understand the need for plexi glass, but I do not understand the need for a plastic covering the plexi glass that only makes it harder to read the menu.

When we ordered an ice cream for our dog, the lady very loudly held the ice cream cup and said to my wife "I need to follow you to make sure its for your dog and you...
