Big Bite — Restaurant in Houston

Hey y'all! I stumbled upon a GEM today!!! Big Bite is scrumptious 😋 I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Hiney, while I was there. Just like the food, he's very delightful. What a sweet and humble man. He shared a tidbit of his story, explaining that he's been at this for two years.

The young man that he's got working his truck was also very pleasant. He gave me a sample of gyro and yellow rice and that was all she wrote. I've never cared for gyro but Hiney's is sooo well flavored. The rice was steaming hot which I appreciate. The sauce is saucin!!! Oh me oh my!

Originally I went for falafel but the young man quickly changed my mind. I went willingly with his suggestion and I think he may have turned me out. Hahaha

Terrific food truck on Washington by the bars. Went midday today, a Saturday, and service was quick and very friendly. Not too mention very reasonably priced. I love fancy food trucks but they usually charge an arm and a leg, so when I went to pay I was very pleasantly surprised! But all of that is window dressing, a restaurant is about the food first and foremost, and they did not disappoint. I got the gyro sandwich which is my go to try out for Mediterranean food. The meat was supple and delicious, seasoned but not over owing, the sauce complimented the meat perfectly, and the pita bread was subtle and fluffy. Definitely my favorite Mediterranean...

New review: ever since the owner hired someone who's not family to run his shop. They ran it to the ground food has no flavor. Garlic sauce not on there when we ask he forgets the taziki sauce all the time we get no sauce. Sometimes he forgets the feta cheese so. No cheese. Doesn't taste the same we always check if the owner is there if the owner isn't there we don't eat there. 5 stars Old review: Owner is very friendly and the food is amazing and authentic me and my buddy go there after drinking everytime.
