So sad that I won’t be patroning this business any longer. And it’s even more unfortunate that I was a very repetitive customer. I ate here weekly sometime multiple times in a week but after my most recent experience with this place they won’t have to worry about my business. So I placed an order online using THEIR online system. Went to pick up said order, & the big tall fat guy who claimed to be the “manager in charge because the manager was gone” told me that I couldn’t get my order because I didn’t have an email, although I had a text message confirming the order that was placed & one that confirmed it was ready to be picked up, I had the card that I paid with (per their policy) and he still would not allow me to get the food that I purchased. He then proceeded to tell me “well we don’t accept Apple Pay” even though THEIR site gives you the option to do so. After going back and forth with him for about 3 minutes or so I told him I’d like to speak to someone higher up, he said the owner was there supposedly he went to the back for all of 1 minute (seriously I’m not kidding) & then proceeded to tell me again that I couldn’t get my food & then tell me I was banned from the establishment after I even offered to just place the order In the restaurant and just pay there. Very rude and unprofessional, so after going outside and saying that I would just have someone else come place the order for me he followed me outside and tried to “reason” with me but by then it was already too late. It saddens my heart that I won’t be eating here anymore because the food is actually not bad at all, but this establishment seriously needs all the training they can get on customer service & maintaining a policy. Also if they don’t plan to accept Apple Pay they should take that option off of THEIR site. So my advice, DONT PATRON here or order in the restaurant and wait at least 30 minutes....
Read moreI have eaten at this place a few times (at least 5 times) usually out of convenience. Everytime something has been off about either the food, the service or the atmosphere.
Let's start with the Security guard who stands behind the counter. The presence of a security guard standing behind the counter is unsettling. If this place needs a security guard that's fine but to be standing behind the counter handing out food at times and even calling out orders is extremely weird.
With the atmosphere itself, great atmosphere until you walk in an see a girl with a bonnet on her head behind the counter. It's Tacky and unprofessional. The ladies often times seem like they also have a attitude and not very welcoming. Also, they don't regularly clean the tables. I always order takeout but sit at the table to wait for my order. There is no reason to have 2 to 4 people standing behind a counter with no one in line, meanwhile tables in the lobby are filthy.
Now let's get to this food. Cajun Fries are the best fries I've had. However, those 5 wings that are dusted with seasoning are complete TRASH!. They don't completely cover the wings with the seasoning, to the point you may even get a wing with no seasoning on it. I've had to bring them home to put my own twist on them. The seafood rice is bland, barely any seasoning and when I say seasoning I'm talking about more than just salt. The rice has no flavor. Same goes for their fried shrimp.
I've worked in food industry and I can tell you that management is the biggest issue here because when management is in tact it trickles down. Coming to work with a bonnet on and being the first person a customer sees is INSANE!!!! Sending out low quality food means the back of the house don't care. Time for some re-training or rehiring of either management...
Read moreStopped by this spot because it's right next door to my truck driving school. I was definitely not disappointed!!! They serve a variety of seafood (crab, crayfish, shrimp, fish, etc.), chicken wings, gumbo, fried rice, and I also believe I saw a turkey neck on someone's plate. I ordered the large Cajun fried rice. It had crayfish, crab, and shrimp with egg and veggies. It was delicious and perfectly spicy as it was!! It just need some soy sauce. I was quite impressed with the quality, as well as the quantity of the food! For $12.99 it would feed 3 normal people. I had enough for my next meal, and had a little for a snack. (I was hungrier than normal both times) If you don't like spicy they have normal fried rice, or you could add something sweet like duck sauce to tame it a little. But the the thing that will keep me coming back for a while is every plate I got a glimpse of (including the turkey neck) looked and smelled absolutely DELICIOUS!! I ate at the seafood place behind them in the boat yesterday, and this place knocks them out of the water!!! (Pun intended) This place isn't exactly in the best part of town, but the did have armed security on staff. I didn't feel scared or worried, but it was also during the day. I believe that it is close enough to the interstate to be not so bad crimewise, but also be careful. I believe it is definitely worth trying!!Photo attached is after I ate...
