Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Houston

I'm still fuming from my disastrous visit to Chilli's this night. Firstly, I visit other locations often and the food and service is good so I figured this location would meet the same standards, I was dead wrong! Straight from the door the service was horrible. Me, my wife and daughter waited for 20 minutes as the waiters just passed us nonchalantly giggling and laughing and completely disinterested in seating us.When they finally talked to us and gave us a table, we were shocked and surprised by the state of the seats! Filthy visible stains on all seats and tissue on one seat indicating no effort at maintaining hygiene at all. I immediately requested for a new table to which the waitress showed resistance and topped that with a bad attitude. She reluctantly gave us another table and we still ordered because our daughter was hungry. The waiters present were all rude, dismissive and unprofessional (perhaps because we brought up the hygiene issue)when they brought our appetizers which had taken forever to come out and we had enough! I asked for the manager and after expressing my concerns and disappointment, I realized they were all in Cahoots. She was leading the pack of incompetent, rude staff that's rotten from the top down! The manager's response to our concerns was that so insincere and generic. She suggested to take to go boxes home instead of acknowledging and addressing the issue. I decided to leave then and made a report to the health department to inspect the location as hygiene was subpar. My experience here was less than pleasant. We arrived at five, left at 5:30 without our drink order even being taken. To start off, the hostess was the least bit attentive or friendly. Obviously was frustrated prior to us coming into the restaurant, and let it follow her to the hostess stand. After about ten minutes of looking at about 7 dirty tables, we were then sat at a high top in the bar area with my two toddler nephews. Not only was I uncomfortable sitting with them so close to the bar, but the table was so high and the chairs had no back to them. Why sit two small children in this area? The hostess then continued to slam plates around while cleaning the other tables saying things under her breath. After being passed by by multiple waitresses and waiters we were finally hardly greeted without eye contact and she told us she’s be back to get out drink order twice. We seen her take another persons drink order and bring them their bar drinks before returning to again tell us she would be back with us with no eye contact. I got up to ask the manager if we could move to a booth that was being cleaned, and ever HE had a not so enthusiastic attitude. We were confused with anger as to anyone could run a restaurant like this, me and my sister have worked in the restaurant industry for many years and had never seen anything like it. The absolute worst experience, I have ever had. I have been going to Chilis, 2 times a week for almost 7 years. First off I was seated at a table, and was told my server was busy. I wait 30mins before the bar tender asked me can he help. It took 30mins to get a drink and 40mins to get my food. All this while, 2 parties came in behind me, got the tables on each side of me and was able to get the food at the same time. These 2 parties have a server and I still didn’t have anyone assisting me, I was asking someone to serve me. What type of crap is that, asking to be served while paying with a PLATINUM AMEX card. So I asked a random person walking by, who is my server. He said “ who did you talk to” I said the guy at the bar was the only person trying to help. He goes to the guy at the bar and then he walks over, I asked him who is my server. He said I am, I said “ how they told me, my server was busy” he said before he was using the restroom. My guy, I walked in and you were serving drinks and people at the bar. You were never in the restroom, I’m not dumb. I am the regional manager of 17 rental car locations, so details and paying attention to what’s going on is my specialty. The fact that I didn’t have a server, no one was attentive and service was horrible, is a huge problem. All and all, the bartender helping me was ok, everyone thing else was horrible.
