I wish that I could leave less than one star! Can you leave a negative star review. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO EVEN A DOG.

To begin, I went with my mother, sister, and friend to have lunch. It was our first time here and never in my life have I been harassed. Waitress A (plays a huge part in the event, has a terrible attitude from jump) approaches and curtly asks "can I get you something to drink?" we place our drink orders and then she slams our drinks on the table. My mom ordered a root beer that came in a bottle and she didn't even open it; when my mom went to ask her to open it waitress A's response was "its supposed to be a twist top". After not even being there 5 minutes, we asked for different waiter and proceeded with our meal. Waitress B was much better, BUT the food was terrible. I sent my meal back and even my second plate was horrible.

However, the real craziness didn't happen until we were leaving. Waitress C (who was not involved with our party AT ALL) approaches us on exit and says with an attitude "I just thought you should know that the 1st waitress that you complained about is the owner's daughter so it doesn't really matter that you complained". My response was "I don't care who she is, she was incredibly rude and I think it's wildly inappropriate that you felt the need to get involved". We then proceeded to tell the manager about being approached when waitress C comes yelling "MY BAD, MY BAD. I guess it was MY fault" and got in my mom's face in a yelling match.

After LEAVING THE BUILDING, the OWNER HERSELF comes charging after us in the parking lot and says "I don't know what your problem is.." when I cut her off and say "Let me stop you there! The issue is that your daughter (waitress A) was rude and has terrible customer service etiquette so we asked for a different waitress." She then cuts me off and says "it doesn't matter because you are no longer welcome here", my response was to put my on the ground and let her know that we wouldn't return if our lives depended on it and that as a business owner she shouldn't be approaching us in the parking lot. Her daughter (along with several other employees) come out into the parking and the daughter picks up my food off the sidewalk and THROWS IT AT US (she will be lucky if we do not press charges, we have footage of the whole thing). At this point, we are all irate and cannot believe the audacity. The owner then proceeds to accuse us of "having a bad day" to which I explain that my mother found out her husband has terminal brain cancer and the owners response was "well that's not my problem and you shouldn't be taking that out on others" The entitlement is obscene!!!!

I am 5 1/2 months pregnant and cannot believe the amount of stress I just had to endure at this establishment. I would never again in my life go here and hope that they...

Waitress was drinking heavily from the bar when we arrived to be seated at our table. She appeared to be drinking hard liquor - pouring her own glass with abandon.

She served drinks at the bar but also sloshed drinks onto the floor, dropping drinks behind the bar. Full shaker cups of mixed drinks - splattered onto the floor.

We didn’t drink. We were seated near the bar and she was evidently the bartender and our waitress. She was drinking very heavily was drunk when we arrived and became almost impossible to converse with by the time we were set free. She acted erratically and uncomfortably.

Waitress also cursed constantly. In front of us, to others - Screamed at staff serving salads. Extremely loud interactions with other staff. Literally verbally berating other staff members. Bad language and angry about other staff people. Another waitress screamed to other staff members that we had been waiting for our food too long and also used foul language.

Outside of this place being a nice restaurant, we had children with us also - ALL of the behavior was inappropriate.

We waited over an hour for order to be taken. We waited another hour for our food. Restaurant was painfully cold in the front and quite warm in the back. Hot in the bathrooms.

It did not take long to eat the food once it came. It was extremely bad. We have been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years. This restaurant has never been like this.

We’ve typically had pleasant experiences. This has always been our “go-to nice restaurant” for family celebrations and out-of-town guests.

It took us 30 minutes to check out. The waitress ran someone else’s card for our check. Then when we told her it wasn’t our card, we hadn’t given our card yet, she took our check (party of 9 - split two ways) and added multiple entrees. She was angry that we pointed out that the check wasn’t right. She held the cards for over 10 minutes.

By the time we were released from this horrific experience, we had been there for OVER three hours. Parking on the second level and above is free for two hours. We had to pay for parking.

We should have left when we suspected she was drunk right after she served our waters. We did not want to overreact though - and now wish we had trusted our gut.

It was an uncomfortable, unfortunate, horrible, extremely sad experience. We’ve never seen anything quite like it in our lives.

Never again, D’Amicos. We’ll treasure the good memories we have had here over the years, but we will find other places to make new memories. It’s extremely unfortunate. The whole situation was...

Drunk waitress & physical assault:

I have been coming to D'Amicos for over eight years with my family, my partner and my friends, but will never set foot in the restaurant again after this past Thursday (July 4th, 2024).

My partner and I were taken to our table to wait for the rest of our party, and sat there for over twenty minutes without being waited on. When I went to go find the waitress, she was sitting down and drinking at the bar (my partner couldn't believe it).

I politely asked if I could order a glass of wine, to which she stood up, turned to face me, and slurred out "what do you want?", not even bothering to come to our table.

I asked for her recommendation and remained polite, as I understand that the service industry can be taxing. She then proceeded to GRAB ME roughly by my shoulders, leaned in an inch from TOUCHING MY FACE (I could smell vodka on her breath) and said "honey, I don't drink wine, only vodka". She referred to me by several other inappropriate pet names.

I sought another waiter's help with my order, and he asked me who my server was. I pointed at the drunken waitress, who slurred out "I guess I'm her waitress".

After being extremely rude to my table, all of whom noticed (I had several guests), she was switched halfway through the meal for another waiter (she came to our table to angrily announce that).

I have been grappling with the physical assault for the last three days: I have had to cancel plans and am left deeply shaken.

When I called D'Amico's the following morning to speak to a manager, I was treated rudely—I was barely given an apology, and the manager did not seem to care. When I called back today and referenced the assault to follow up, I was not given any update as to the status of my complaint.

I will never go back to D'Amico's, and I have warned all my friends (longtime Houstonians) against going there. I'm debating filing an assault charge. This is so deeply disappointing to me as a longtime customer of D'Amico's and as someone who had previously recommended the establishment to friends and family.

This person is NOT sober, and behaves dangerously. The waitress acts in violating behaviors and has no problem putting her hands on customers. Overall, my experience at D'Amico's has left me...

Authentic Italian Gem — Impeccable Food and Atmosphere ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 out of 5) We absolutely love this authentic Italian restaurant—and we’ve tried quite a few across Houston. This one easily ranks in our top favorites. From the warm, inviting atmosphere to the incredible food and impeccable service, everything about the experience stands out. There’s plenty of seating, and the space feels cozy but not cramped. We were especially impressed by the ability to take food to go or even pre-order Italian dishes and desserts ahead of time. They also sell house-made sauces, pasta, and more, which adds a special touch for food lovers wanting to bring a little of the restaurant home. Everything we tried was outstanding. Highlights include: • The gnocchi — perfectly soft and flavorful • The lasagna — rich, comforting, and portioned just right • The Caesar salad — crisp and well-balanced • And don’t miss the fresh-baked bread—it’s fantastic The wine selection and desserts were equally impressive, rounding out a truly memorable meal. The only downside is the restroom setup—just one stall for men and one for women, which can lead to a tight wait, especially when the restaurant is busy (and it often is). Parking options: • Paid street parking out front • Or park in the nearby garage for free for up to two hours, which is definitely the better choice Final thoughts: This place gets busy for a reason—it’s authentic, charming, and consistently delivers excellent food. We’ll absolutely be back any time we’re in the area.

We moved to the area and had been looking for an authentic Italian market and google shared a few, one being D’Amico’s. We found it relatively easily, and found parking nearby. We appreciated that it was pet friendly (outside)as we had our dog with us. They were slightly understaffed, it had been cold and rainy recently and today was a beautiful albeit cool day so I completely understood what the manager was telling me in regards to eating outside. (There was another couple w their dog outside so we weren’t alone) We got our menus. I ordered the lentil soup which was fantastic and the seafood linguine diavolo. My wife ordered the fatale putta. Julian our server brought out some bread, some olive oil while we waited (we like the bread some much we ordered a loaf to take home). Our meal came out relatively quickly. Big portions, hot and delicious. We skipped the dessert and coffee as we had other plans. The place was busy but not too busy since it was 3:30 in the afternoon. It was worth the trip from our suburb town (40 minutes away).
