IT’S LONG BUT PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ!!! So I’m gonna start with our waitress whose name is Brooklyn it was her first day…She was the ABSOLUTE STAR of the show. We (5 ppl including myself) arrived at about 12:10 pm it was a few cars there not many. She was the only waitress there but we were sat immediately then moved to another table and when a lady came in not sure if she’s the manager or what bc she never introduced herself, never asked us how things were going (our first time at this place) nor did she apologize for us having to be moved 2 times due to a class reunion having several tables reserved with no reserved signs or communication to the workers so it could’ve been avoided. Finally settled to our 3rd table and the food starts coming (placed drink and food orders at the 2nd table) we tried the fried pickles, boudin balls and Vietnamese egg rolls which was all good pickle batter could’ve used a little more seasoning but when dipped in ranch it made it better. 3 meals came out first it’s 5 of us…One friend ordered chicken strips and fries she said they were good, me and one of my cousins ordered the full house grits w/shrimp, fish & a Cajun sauce…It was warm when it came not HOT, the shrimp were seasoned and grilled good, the fish was ok could’ve been fried a little longer, the grits were absolutely horrible, no seasoning, they were not creamy or buttery at all, this “Cajun” sauce had no flavor or spice to it. Has to ask for some seasoning for my grits made it a tad bit better but we were already over it bc it should’ve came out with the flavor and piping hot. Next, the last 2 orders that took FOREVER to come out (NOT BROOKLYN’S FAULT) my daughter and other cousin ordered the loaded Cajun pasta they were not impressed at all, noodles tasted like they were boiled in straight water, the sauces flavor was not there, the chicken and shrimp were seasoned good. It took about 45 plus minutes for the 2 pasta dishes to come out bc the KITCHEN had to remake it not once but twice. Idk if we should’ve just stuck with the brunch items simple chicken and waffles but I feel like it shouldn’t matter everything should be great on the morning bc I mean who can really mess up some waffles and chicken?! Now the drinks…ABSOLUTELY AMAZING definitely BETTER than the food!! One person ordered the check on it, 2 ordered the sicko mode and I had the Mo’ City don..AMAZINGGGGGG they all were strong, flavorful and worth the price. Last but not least BROOKLYN was an ABSOLUTE Amazing waitress, she was the only waitress there trying to handle like 3 tables plus a couple of ppl at the bar. She never showed any sign of being overwhelmed, irritated and kept a smile on her face. She had to ask a lot of questions which is expected being it’s her first day at a new establishment…Which gives more reason that a manager or someone should’ve been there to help her. Brooklyn and the black stocky hookah man was the friendliest ones in the bldg. They are the reasons the service is getting 5 stars. They played ok music, the hookah was not it, very faint flavor tasted like a free hookah bc that’s what is was for us purchasing full meals. Not sure how much shisha he put it there but it couldn’t have been enough. Oh I almost forgot, when the other workers FINALLY started rolling in they come not dressed so now they are all in the RR that thr patrons have to use getting dressed makeup and whatever else all over the sink counters so UNPROFESSIONAL. They put on these corner store looking t shirts that they cut up themselves, could’ve at least been a shirt with the place name on it being that the manager or whoever she was, was so proud about this class reunion reservation it was Sterling and somebody. If we gone represent we have to represent the right way!! I AM very big on supporting my black owned businesses but this one was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT when it came to the flavor of the food and the way it’s being ran. BROOKLYN YOU ARE AMAZING, keep up the great work, keep smiling, keep striving, keep being an asset to this...

Came here a few times to give it a chance before writing my review. Of the 4 times I’ve come, 3 of the visits fell way below my expectations for a serving establishment… so here we are. Customer service was nice nasty, giving very much “imma smile and greet you because I have to be here but I don’t really want to”. An hour after ordering our food, it still hadn’t come to the table , in that hour I believe our server came to take our drink orders twice so we had to go find her to check on our food order. She came back and said that it should be out soon. About another 15 minutes passed and we tracked her down again and asked her to get the manager. The manager told us we have been waiting because their servers take food from the window to the customers on a first come first service basis (not as in who put the order in first, like whoever is first to the plate) and that’s probably why…and proceeded to walk away… lol… huh?? Was that suppose to be an acceptable answer? So I went to track him down again, and explained to him that that isn’t acceptable and he should required more from his team. Reiterated that we had ordered an hour and half ago and asked him to go to the kitchen to retrieve our food. He had an attitude and said some slick remarks but knew that I was right so he did what I asked. We got the food, it was pretty good but was definitely overshadowed by the experience and interaction. The drinks were way too sweet (barely any liquor) but the dj was cool.

Hookah prices are ridiculously high even on a Tuesday when they first open lol

All in all, not so...

I came from out of town with my friends looking foward to visiting this place and experiencing our first HTX “Sunday funday “. We seen promising things from their social media page so it easily became top of the list for us to visit in H-town. Unfortunately, we left HIGHLY disappointed. For starters, the service was terrible. It took us almost an hour before we were even AKNOWLEDGE or greeted. We were front and center at the bar were there were multiple opportunities for some one to tend to us but we didn’t even receive a smile or a hello. It felt like we were not welcomed there. I can also say I have never been to a place were the bottle girls were not bubbly and had good energy. Not one smile, poorly put together, and overall an unpleasant group of young ladies. It took about 45 minutes for our food to come out after our orders were placed and just when we thought things couldn’t get worse…..

They got my friends order wrong 😑. They mistakenly gave her a distgusting side of red beans and rice that she didn’t even ask for. She ordered a serving of wings bit into it and it was freezing cold. Overall the food was a no for us.

The only positives of this place is the good music from the DJ , the bartender that finally was able to tend to us and the friendly bodyguard. Need to hire new bottle girls/waitresses ASAP and figure out what’s going on in the kitchen. We would have left within the first 10 minutes because the atmosphere was THAT bad but didn’t because we didn’t want to spend money on another Uber. Definetly DO NOT recommend for the out of...

A Facebook group I'm in decided to come here because one of the members saw them on Instagram. I don't drink but I saw the pasta on the goggle when I looked it up so I was excited because I love to eat. When we arrived we were informed that they only serve brunch on Saturdays and Sundays so basically no pasta and lots of grit items which im not a fan of. So I ordered the egg rolls. Egg rolls were very good 👍🏾 I'd give the 1st set 5 stars the sauce for them was very flavorful. We then ordered mushrooms they bring the out with no dipping sauce I was also going to order the fried orka but it also comes with no sauce. We order ranch for the mushrooms it was horrible worst then great value cant describe it. As I said I don't drink but my friends ordered a few and were complaining that Theresa's no alcohol in it, I also heard one say the vodka tasted like they were using Takka Vodka lol.... I decided to order the pork chops macaroni and cheese and grits (sugar goes in grits). Grits were not what I thought not the kind you add sugar to but I'll say that's on me, however the Mac and cheese was horrible the pork chops were pork something but chops idk it had a weird flavor. I didn't order anything to replace them after I sent them back but my friend ordered the Shrimp and it was good. Service was good a few mis steps but she was awesome over all. Atmosphere was great we might come back but we will definitely eat before we go. Oh and there is 18% automatic gratuity added to all tickets.
