Denny's — Restaurant in Houston

After waiting in line for 15 mins behind all the gutter trash, prostitutes, pimps, drug dealers and crackheads that came from the disgustingly dirty America's Inn directly adjacent, I finally got a greeter who could not understand table for 1 but to her credit finally managed to understand enough English to get me a place to sit eventually. Sat at said place for another 15 mins without anyone saying a word. I made eye contact and hand gestures with the obese, scowling "waitress" waddling around the section but to no avail. She was having trouble with the computer touch screen at the time but hey, I had to give her a break. How did I even begin to think she could use a touch screen with ease due to her 5 inch fake nails filed to needle points and adorned with costume jewelry pieces. Not even a nod of "I'll be with you in a minute" was issued. Then hope shined from accross the restaurant. A manager type figure appeared to be coming to help the waitress of lore. But wait, it wasn't help that was offered. It was a casual chat , joke telling and horse play. Fantastic. Just about that time I caught a wiff of raw sewage, then an overwhelming gust of it. The two large lady employees acted as if nothing was wrong and I decided to make my stand. I asked the large manager wrapped up tight like a sausage in her unkempt, XXL , green, dirty (visible dried on food debris and even wet spots) if she could smell that. She said yes, we have someone coming to fix it . I said great hope noone gets sick from it. I told her about the awful customer service and was on site 20 mins without a drink even. With an obvious, annoyed and disinterested look on her face, came a disingenuous "Im sorry what can I get you to drink." I said anything and anywhere but here. DO NOT EAT HERE! I hope all heed this warning.

I went here just now to eat with my boyfriend and as soon as we get in here a waitres named lucia handled us where seated she went got our drinks all while sucking on a lollipop when it came time to orser she was still sucking on the lollipop the whole time.. I ignored it because we where hungry but she needs to be trained properly. Then she only cane to our table once after the food was served to us wich is sad considering we where the only table in the place. Its like she hid in the back from there i had to make a to go order and we had to flag someone down they beought the menu but never came back to get my order so i litterly got up to the register and stated the order i wanted to the person there. After i got my order we paid i went to the restroom to wash my hands i noticed my boyfriends face was a bit confused so when we left i asked what was wrong the waitres lucia asked him if he smoked and that she was selling drugs. I have no idea what kind of employees you have hired but might want to check on them as to i tolk this as a insult nor me or my boyfriend do drugs. I have no idea what made it okay for her to even ask such a thing but by far worst service ever. As to the food i have no complaints it looked good and tasted great but after today i will not be coming back as to the waitres lucia and...

My experience here at this Denny’s was interesting. Upon arrival our waiter greets us and introduces himself by name. He was very friendly and was very attentive. Then came the time to ordered. I wanted to get a plate of chicken and biscuits in gravy, but wanted grilled chicken instead of the fried chicken. I asked my waiter to go ahead and ask the kitchen if that was doable, and if not it was fine I was willing to change it. He later comes back and say no it’s not possible and he leaves me another menu. The manager then comes out to explain to me again that they couldn’t do it and I simply asked why. He said because I wouldn’t like it and would send it back. This frustrated me because how could he possible tell me what I will and won’t like!? He then said that they had tried it multiple times and it was not good and I was just gonna send it back. After his long and pointless rant I simply ordered lasagna to get him to leave and that was the end of it. I also noticed this manager being very unnecessarily rude to his employees and that upset me further with him. I still gave it three stars however because my waiter, Nick, was great and the Lasagna was also pretty good.
