El taco Bravo — Restaurant in Houston

I tried the taco de tripa, and it was great! The tacos de bistec were delicious, but the tacos de pastor lacked flavor. Since this is a Mexican taco truck, I was expecting real agua fresca, not a fake-tasting Jamaica. I asked if I could switch the drink since it tasted bad, but they said no. I feel like when you come to a taco truck expecting real Mexican food, that should include authentic drinks as well.

Also, if you order the hamburguesa mexicana, don’t expect the homemade potatoes like in the picture. They advertise the Mexican burger with gala potatoes, but you’ll actually get American French fries.

The presentation of the food was excellent, price is great, unfortunately the trompo is not real trompo and the quality and taste of the meat was poor. It ruined the meal for us and took it from 5 stars to 3. Maybe fajita would have been better idk but I don't recommend getting their "trompo". The beans however were EXCELLENT and I highly recommend them! Best beans...

Hands down the best food truck tacos - carne asada w/ raw and grilled onions, cilantro and lime - I've ever had. Fresh, hot, just the right amount of greasiness. Simplicity is always best.

And $8.75 for 5 tacos is a such a good deal.
