A friend introduced me to their Lumpias which if you're wondering are like mini toquitos. They come in 25 or 50 with a generous portion of sweet spicy red sauce. While you might think 25 will be a nice snack for two people to share...no. Not because of the size but once the addiction kicks in, friendships start to get questioned and feelings get hurt. They are best enjoyed hot so call an order in about 15 min before picking them up. They also make great party snacks and reheat well in an air fryer. Other items I've tried were good but the Lumpias make them hard to remember. Service is good considering the amount of orders they process and staff is friendly. It's a mom and pop style place so decor is on the home feeling side. No TVs or much toblook at but if you're enjoying a meal there your indulgence in the plate before will probably be enough to keep conversation going with the company you're sharing the meal.

I was craving for Filipino food and our Caucasian colleague recommended me this! 0.6 miles away from my training and I had fried mackerel and mixed veggies. They heated my own brown rice I brought and they were very accommodating. Nothing like Filipino hospitality. They have the food market as well with various foods I’d get if I was home. H town is busting with great Filipino food! May I add that last Friday I ordered pancit tray and lumpia and my colleagues were so happy! Adding pics!

I have perused the offerings of Godo's restaurant for a month or so as I have a great affinity for Filipino food. I would order through Doordash for some time twice in a week. For a month, consistently, the food was always made fresh and tasty when ordered through the app then as time went on and I would call or be in the restaurant to place my orders, the quality of the food becomes so-so depending on the mood of the front of the house team consisting of Nomi, Jane and Marichu.

My most experience isn't a terrible experience but it wasn't a good one either. I ordered at 5:30 pm and spoke with either Nomi / Marichu on the phone. They hesitantly accepted the order of lechon kawali and pork menudo reminding me that they order must be picked up by 6:50pm. I agreed, when I received my order, however, the pork menudo wasn't freshly made it was only half a containter and was charged $14.95. It didn't look too good so I didn't even eat the pork when I got home. I usually order and pay amounts between $60-$90 and tip generously, however because of this experience, I will not be coming back and will take my business elsewhere at nearby Max's Restaurant Cuisine or Filipiniana Restaurant located on Bissonnet and US hwy 59 where they value customer's and the service is up to par with other experiences. I'll even order from Jollibee instead. Please Ms, Dina Javier, train your employees accordingly that service involves more than just the correct preparation of food, it's the way you interact with the customer's that come into your...

Extremely rude Store owner ( the old guy owner ) We’re on vacation in Galveston island Texas from Minnesota, and decided to drive to Houston just to visit this store because I’m craving for Siopao, the lady staff welcomed us with a smile then attend us , we’re planning to eat there for lunch and have some take outs , the lady showed me we’re the siopao is located, I open the freezer and see the varieties of siopao flavor , suddenly the guy owner saw me telling me to close the freezer in a not polite manner , my husband reacted of what he did , and he explains that it was a bad habit to some people to open the refrigerator and stay there for long , and I interrupted , saying “ I just got here , and I’m a customer “ we’re not in his home ,?!! then the guy said sorry but his not really sorry because of his tone of voice and he just left right away while my husband is still talking to him, we got more upset, and we told him that he is rude , that we drove to Houston just to visit his store and this is what we got ? He just keep ignoring us , and I keep telling him how rude he is , he just said , Thank you , again and again. Most Filipino in America that I meet was polite and friendly, but not this GUY. We just went out the store , and went to Jollibee instead . It’s just so sad that May bastos pala pinoy na buhay pa until now na nakapasok...

Into: We came on a recommendation to my wife. I can't catch the hype that everyone seems to rave about. Came in on a weekend, like suggested, and all I felt was confusion. Walked through the door and there was no direction. Employees were sitting peeling garlic and no sign informing to seat yourself or wait to be seated. After a minute of standing deer-in-the-headlights, was guided to what seemed like the kitchen cooler to pick out a drink. Didn't know if you could only grab one or go back for more. Never bothered to find out. Normally I'm a heavy eater, piling a lot on to one plate, but the whole intro to the place made me hesitant.

Food: Got a little bit of a red curry, yellow curry, some unsauced pork, and a barbecued drumstick. Few other items I don't remember. I sat down and started consuming, and I've worked food industry before. The flavor was there, but a portion of the food wasn't to temp (most of it was room temp) and the drumstick's bone was even cold. After plate one, I didn't feel any urge to go back for more.

Atmosphere: The place has too much going for it. Between being a: 1) small goods store; 2) buffet; 3) restaurant to special order items; 4) catering business; and 5) bakery, I couldn't make heads or tails of the place.

Overall: I enjoy Filipino food, but I don't see a good reason...
