Big Blue Whale — Local services in Houston

Jellycat festive toys are pretty popular and an instant sellout. The Big Blue Whale happened to have only two left. Conveniently they are also in Houston, so I didn't have to pay for shipping or stress about getting it here on time.

I called them on Sunday and an associate picked up the phone. Without having to wait on the phone she knew instantly how many she had in stock left. I was able to pay over the phone and do an in-store pickup.

It was my first time visiting this store and it was a wonderful experience. One of the ladies greeted me and assisted with my in-store purchase. What a seamless process. There are so many wonderful selections of toys. They even had a few hard to find sold out Jellycat items here. I know where to head back to for some Jellycat stuffies.

Attending my new neighbor's 1-year-old birthday party, I wanted to strike the right note with my gift. Walking into Blue Whale, the day of the party, I found a bunny an a top hat hand puppet within tens steps from the front door. Being a Saturday, they were busy with parents and a sheaf of curious children parsing through they reachable toy bins. A short wait in line and my gift was stuffed into a plain brown gift bag with colorful tissue paper hiding the contents.

They offer discounts if you're on their list of repeats customers but we're unable to find my wife's info on their computer, doing so would have saved me five bucks.

We love taking our daughter to this store. It has a mix of nostalgic and new toys for an overall magical experience for adults and children alike. Today we happened to be running late cutting it close to closing. Not once did the staff rush us and they were extremely helpful. We picked up a few items for our little. When we finished paying we were given two coins worth $1 off per coin to turn in next time we visit the store.
