Edit to add: I was here today and employees were 100% pulling all red tags out. That’s the color of the week. I know because I looked through a rack that I thought were new items, only to be told that it wasn’t and that I couldn’t shop from it. I asked if I could look through it to see if I could find the matching bottoms to my pjs and the employee said yes but not to tell the manager. I was looking through the rack and it was all red tags. I asked the employee if they were pulling red tags out because they’re 50% off today and they said they were just pulling out stuff “that’s been here for months” HOW SAD
I’ve shopped at this goodwill for over 15 years. Lots has changed, but I have always enjoyed coming here. Prices had always been good across the board, nothing too hiked up. Until recently, I noticed shoes for over $30 and shirts for $50. It wasn’t a lot of pieces, but enough to notice. But, what really is upsetting is, I noticed that whatever the color of the week is, there never are any items with that color tag. At first, I thought I was just there too late in the week, so I went on a Sunday, first day of the new color discount. I went in at 10 am. The color was green. I noticed a lot of orange tags, which was the color the previous week and a lot of yellow tags, which were the color the week before that. But only found ONE green tag on some jeans I liked. I go to check out and I asked if my jeans received the discount and the cashier pointed out that the hang tag was green, but the plastic tag was orange and the hang tag read “orange” at the bottom. So, my green tag was actually an orange tag so I didn’t get a discount. So, I went through the jeans again, and I didn’t find any tags that were actually green. I went to the women’s shirts, the dresses, same thing…picked things at random, didn’t go through every single piece, but still very suspicious. Then I headed to the kids section and boom! I found some ACTUAL green tags and they were actually things I needed. There were two employees in the same aisle as me and one of them said “look at all the green tags she has” and asked if I was going to buy them and I said I was.. which was strange… as I walked away, I thought I heard her say that someone missed those. Either way, I get to the counter and by this time, there was a different cashier. She rang me up and when my total wasn’t what I expected, I said to her that my items were on sale and showed her the green plastic tags and she told me they GO BY THE HANG TAG! And to make matters worse, I got a dress that was marked $1.99 and she charged $4.99 and I pointed it out and she said it was marked wrong and dresses were actually 4.99. Which is funny because I’ve noticed they label things as dresses that aren’t dresses before and charge 4.99 for them, but I never pick up. This one said infant dress $1.99. Anyway, I walked out super annoyed. Something is...
Read moreThe staff is very unhelpful except the one lady and in the cashier not the big tall lady the short one. The short lady is sweet however the tall lady is very inconsiderate ….. I had been coming to this location for a few months and I live so close it’s convenient however I will no longer be shopping here.. I truly hope the owner gets people who actually care…. Like you don’t have to love it but dang at least people who will assist
Story. I had 2 big items that didn’t fit in the tiny basket that they give you so I went to the front purchases them and was going back to get the rest of my stuff and continue shopping less than 5 minutes they put back all the stuff I shopped for 2 hours…… 😮💨🤦🏻♀️ I asked if maybe they just put up in the back before they sort it out and put it back on the racks… and they just said “I DONT KNOW😒” ( I understand that if you really didn’t know) the second person “go look for it again or go ask the front ” and 3 rd person “I didn’t put it up maybe someone took your cart” The whole point is to ask your coworkers (the people who normally put stuff up) if they seen the cart and if they maybe put the item back…. How hard is that…. 😔
It’s one thing of course if you don’t know or anything but two of the items In my cart was put back in the aisle I just got them from before going to the front to pay for the two big items that couldn’t fit in the tiny cart…..So of course an employee must have put it back…. So I went to the front… the cashier was so sweet and seemed like she was gonna be very helpful because I did mention as well “I don’t want any problems because I did just speak to the people in the back and they said just go to the front and ask or they didn’t know (I said that because there has been other times different places where they call the same people I just spoke to and they say “oh you” 😒and are no help in the end)
but I just felt so disrespected… when the tall lady came between me and the other lady trying to resolve the issue and get in front of the register logged in and said “next! Next person……”😮💨🤦🏻♀️ less than 15 second of good service… I’m a cashier… and as a cashier if you see the person that still has service due and if it’s not your customer I was trained to say “hello, the lady can assist you over there at her register so I can take the customer behind you. And smile!” After i stepped out for moment to control my mouth because lord knows I had a mouthful to say… I came back in to get the other items I already purchase and she then wanted to “help”. 🤦🏻♀️ no. Thank you. Last time I ever come here. Sad because they always have great things! Also I forgot to mention the guy in the back was a sweet heart too! He and that short lady was the only ones that were helpful thank you to those two only.. 🫶🏼 Around 2:30pm...
Read moreRecently I was in this store looking for items for my students. They all have multiple disabilities. I looked around and did not see anything. I was in route to leave the store when an employee came up to me and said the following, " Are you going to pay for those shoes (pointing at my Nike running shoes). Also, she said this where other customers could hear her accusation of me trying to steal shoes. I was so confused at what she was saying. When I realized she was serious I told her these are my shoes. I am a good citizen and do not steal. I was humiliated and angry. I donate throughout the year as well as, purchase items for my school and myself. I left the building and went to the donation area and asked to speak w the manager on duty. He ask me to describe the employee so I did. He then proceeded to tell me this has happened before and he would talk to her. She should have been brought to me and fired once she confirmed she did indeed call me a thief. He did nothing. I will not shop at this store. Her behavior was reckless. She verbally attacked me, degraded my character and she still has a job. As a Heights resident, I say this is unacceptable. This is not Goodwill. This is not how store employees nor managers should act. It...
