If I could give a negative star. I WOULD! It stank, they were racist, very rude! I took my kids here for a family outing before they go back to school, I heard about this place on tiktok and figured we stop and get something to eat. The kids didn’t very much eat what they had except the ice cream and dessert. I knew that I would have to of course get their food else where, me on the other hand ENJOYED THE FOOD. I asked the waiter if they could possibly charge me for the food or a possible discount. The lady name Stacy got loud and had a attitude with me and called her manger John. I explained to John that I was not trying to create any problems, I just wanted to see if he could help me out, he explained that nothing was for free and said he was going to run the cameras back to see if the kids ate. Mind you, I never said they didnt eat their food, they took one bite of everything and cried and complained about the food. I told him that was fine and they he will see how they carried a total of 5 plates full of food back to the back. John came back and explained he would give me a 20% discount since I claimed “me and the kids didn’t eat” when clearly I did. I explained to John again I enjoyed my time and the food here except for the kids, never once I said we didnt touch the food nor did I include myself not liking the food. I let it roll over my shoulders and waited for him to come back with a receipt. John only took off a total of $4 but on the receipt next to the charges for the kids it states he took a total of $12 off. I knew automatically something was off so I did my own calculations since I have worked at a local bank before. I have a keen eye for numbers. When I explained to John he insisted that he took $10 off when he in fact said 20% off. In the process of us talk over these numbers, my daughter cries to me because Stacy rolled her eyes and made ugly faces at her that made her extremely uncomfortable m. I immediately get upset because for you to look like someone’s great grandmother treating a child who is 8 years old is very immature. After me and John agreed that the numbers was incorrect, I approached Stacy and asked her did she make faces at her, she jumps up like she seen a ghost and yells out no and walks off speaking in another language. I will never in my life come back to this location again. The passive aggression, disrespect, and borderline childish behavior was...
Read moreMy family and I came here for dinner. Recommended by my father, we all decided to go. I’ll go ahead with the decorations/atmosphere, the service, and then the food. In summary, for about $20 a person after tax for dinner, this place is budget friendly but has drawbacks. I’ll explain below.
Outside of the buffet is somewhat clean and the inside is decorated well. Inside the buffet, we were greeted, asked by the front how many people, and walked to our table by our server. Heavy on neutral and warm color tones around the buffet. The whole time my family was there, service was excellent and what matters the most for me is the food experience.
The options for the buffet are plentiful: Three island bar areas of food, dessert area, grill area, and sushi area. While the options are abundant, the quality is mediocre to underwhelming at best. I walked around for a few minutes and couldn’t really find anything to get since about 80% of the options were “common,” similar to other buffets. Options within the three food bars range from American to Asian food (chinese, kim sum). I decided to take some and try them out to compare. Overall 3/5 and underwhelming.
Trying out the grilled food, it’s between 1-2/5. Had shrimp, beef, and some vegetables alongside. The outer edge of the beef was bitter from the burnt areas and hard to chew overall. The shrimp was great in texture and slightly salty with umami flavor. Vegetables were added to compliment the dish/additional flavor. Excluding vegetables from the rating.
Moving over to the sushi, 2/5. There were times I had to contemplate if I should keep trying to review each piece of sushi, maki, and sashimi due to the quality. Ranging from weirdly sweet flavoring to outright fishy flavor, I only kept going because I wanted to taste everything they had at the sushi area. I wouldn’t get anything on the right side if you’re going there (sushi/sashimi), just the maki rolls on the left side. Pictures included for references.
Overall, 2/5. Would I recommend my friends and family to go here? No. There are other options to choose from if you’re willing to pay at minimum 5 dollars...
Read moreI recently dined at Hibachi Grill & Buffet and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Despite paying $30 for my meal, I found it difficult to justify the price given the average quality of the food. The lackluster taste and uninspiring variety made me question the value of my investment.
One of the major issues I encountered was the constant scrutiny from the staff as I navigated the buffet area. It felt as though I was being monitored with hawk-like precision, which created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. The lack of trust and the absence of genuine customer service made the entire dining experience awkward and off-putting.
Although I had hoped for a pleasant dining experience, the overall impression was that of mediocrity. The food lacked the flavors and freshness I would expect from a hibachi grill and buffet establishment. It seemed as if the dishes were prepared without much attention to detail or culinary finesse.
Moreover, the limited variety of options failed to impress. The selection at the buffet was underwhelming, leaving me feeling restricted in my choices. The lack of variety further compounded my disappointment and made the meal less enjoyable overall.
Considering the lack of quality customer service, the unremarkable food, and the uncomfortable atmosphere, I cannot recommend Hibachi Grill & Buffet. Despite the initial allure of an all-you-can-eat experience, I regretfully admit that I would not choose to dine at this establishment again.
If you are seeking a satisfying hibachi grill and buffet experience with attentive staff and a diverse selection of flavorful dishes, I would suggest looking elsewhere. There are undoubtedly better options available that can provide a more enjoyable and fulfilling dining experience.
