Ok I have to be honest with my review, let’s start with the location, I think that the location is convenient and makes perfect sense for the concept, the step up is a bit much but not a big deal unless you have some type of disability. The customer service was bright, beautiful and warm, this was everything I expected from a vegan spot. Parking was a little confusing but it was situated almost instantly, the location felt safe as well, for those who want to know. Now let’s get to the food, the burrito was good the burger and sides not so much, I think that the creativity and effort that the burrito received should cross over to the burger and sides, one thing that I felt could be better was napkins, there was one napkin per customer with pretty messy food, even if you have to add 50 cent to your orders there should always be napkins, the lemonade was good but definitely needs a spinner, I think the place is good, there just needs to be more effort to bolden some of the flavors, and details from the customer experience point of view should be taken I to consideration. I would say go, and maybe I will update this review once some details are implemented! High ticket dining should have a high...

Update: went back to give this place another chance while I was in the area, but it was not worth the almost $20 spent. The portion sizes were so small. Not enough sauce on the links, which were cold, the mac and cheez was too al dente and runny, and the potato salad and everything else was bland. The links were good but not appetizing eaten cold. I love the idea of vegan BBQ but i think the prices need to come down for the quality I received. Just not a great visit with flies buzzing round the truck. The owner seems to be doing very well with his other businesses, but the food truck is declining.

Great food here but the website and online ordering is awful, when it works (no way to customize or choose sides to add to plates). Waited a while in line to find out they were out of the item I drove 45 minutes for, so wish they had a better communication system. Last issue is that they want to charge $5 to add swamp sauce. Way overpriced. Love the concept of vegan bbq but it is soo expensive even after being open for a couple of years now. The business owner has multiple vegan stores/restaurants open and is doing quite well. Hope the cooks are getting paid well to be working in...

Was visiting Houston and visited on Aug 8 evening wanting to try a vegan place. But it was a huge let down. The worker didn't speak English at all could barely communicate, service was non existent, didn't seem to care at all about the order or customer service. Body language said it all.

Main thing we were looking for was out of stock. Elote was out. No drinks, no lemonade. Had to go to gas station for a drink. Elote was the main reason that borught us here but out of stock and not updated on internet. We should have left then.

Macaroni was very dry and under cooked. It was semi hard. Definitely rush job. Not enough sauce or flavors.

If it wasn't food truck or if we didn't get it to go, would have definitely asked for her to remake it and asked for a refund.

Overall $50 spent for 2 people without even drinks. Extremely over priced for the quantity and quality of food you get for vegan places in Houston area. During our stay we tried couple others much higher quality Vegan places with much better service and food for almost half the price.

No free parking either so if you park in paid lot its another $10 just to park. Definitely not worth the price

Highly recommend trying...

Brisket Mac was insanely good. Homemade strawberry lemonade fantastic. Also a large portion worthy of the price. Quick and friendly. My only complaint that made me knock it down a star is the packaging. For anyone who is vegan for sustainability reasons will hate that the lemonade is in plastic and the meal comes in styrofoam. For those reasons I unfortunately won’t be back unless it changes. But I will dream of the flavors!

This place is insanely good. I have been craving vegan BBQ and was thrilled to learn the existence of the Houston Sauce Pit. And their food isn’t just some tofu slathered in BBQ sauce. I tried the links and they were so tender and juicy and flavorful. Their sides are just as good as their entrees, too. The elote is TO DIE FOR as are the baked beans. I want to go back and try everything!! So grateful this food truck exists!!!

The staff was amazing, friendly, and quick. I had the vegan brisket mac snd cheese, and the Brussel srpouts....the guy behind me was a regular and his frito pie looked so amazing I had to take a picture. I didn't have a picture of the brisket mac and cheese because y daughter and I ate it and forgot to take a pic. It was that good. This place is the truth. Check them out you will not be disappointed!!
