I was riding around on a Saturday and decided to try this restaurant. When I walked in there was a long line but there was only one cashier lady, she was moving as fast as possible. She had no time for friendly customer service. The atmosphere is laid back , good energy or vibe. This was my first time , I really wanted to try their oxtails but I wanted to taste their cooking so I picked the first option which was jerk spicy chicken and I ask for a beef patty. I waited 10 mins for my food and ate their beef patty , it was delicious. I regretted not just buying only the patty. My rice tasted like the box rice you place in the microwave to cook with bland beans, it was dry and nasty. The chicken tasted like spicy bbq with bbq sauce , I was disappointed because that is not how you cook jerk chicken . My cabbage was good but they could have at least put flavor in their cabbage like chicken broth or something and cared enough to shred their carrots into thin pieces. I cook and the person that made this food needs to be replaced. I told a friend of mine about this restaurant and he mentioned ā€œ they have their days when it’s goodā€ Those days should be everyday, I was a new customer. Grace is given but I will not return unless I want to have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. Thanks!

Oh wow. Not even in Miami area have I had such succulent juicy jerk chicken. It's the bomb y'all. Take a look at the jerk chicken takeout pic. Btw, I was so drawn in by the smell, I started eating and finished the white meat piece and some of the rice and hot steamed veggies before thinking of taking a pic šŸ˜‚. So imagine a large piece of breast meat in the empty spot. I'd have thought the white meat could be dry but I was so surprised. I didn't even use the knife - the fork was enough to pull loose chunks of very soft and juicy meat - dunked in that amazing extra jerk sauce - spicy but not burn your tongue heaven. The leg and thigh had an amazing grilled char and were so flavorful I even sucked on the skin, and the bone. Btw, this for 12.50. Just saying, can you find a better deal? I got the a la carte curry goat as that's another dish I benchmark Jamaican places. Huge tender falling apart meat pieces well flavored. The amount for 9.50 - 😳 this too I had a few pieces before the pic šŸ™„šŸ˜‹. These two dishes will feed 4 people no problem. Can't wait to try other dishes. Plenty of parking in the back on Arbor st behind the restaurant strip mall.

I’m very disappointed with this meal and feel like I wasted $28. I wasn’t impressed by the food photos on the website but I decided to give it a try anyway. The staff was welcoming and friendly, which I appreciated. However, as a Jamaican, I have to say this was the worst Jamaican food I’ve ever had. Not only was it overpriced, but the jerk chicken didn’t taste like jerk chicken at all. It tasted like it was marinated in Red Stripe and baked in an oven. I couldn’t even finish the meal because I genuinely disliked it, and the presentation was unappetizing. To make matters worse, I ordered a fruit punch, expecting something fresh or authentic. Instead, I got a bottled drink that tasted like Grace strawberry syrup which was overly sweet and artificial. They also charged a $1.75 packaging fee for a to-go order that came in a basic foam container and plastic bag. I would NOT recommend this place if you're Jamaican or looking for real Jamaican cuisine. I honestly wish I hadn’t gone.

First time experience. Tasted oxtails, plantains (both varieties), chicken salad sandwich and the chicken patty. I was turned off by the decorum foremost. While I've never been to Jamaica, I immediately felt as if I entered a poor house. My fears were not eased as I walked into the restroom. So I immediately left to retrieve my hand sanitizer and set of utensils I keep in my vehicle for purposes, like so. I was meeting friends so i resisted my urge to leave outright. However, the food tasted really good: the patty dough did seem a little rubbery/doughy...not crispy or flaky. The chicken salad sandwich meat almost tasted chalk-ish. It was grinded very fine for chicken/tuna and almost shared the consistency of thick grits. The bun was extremely tasty....almost a sweet, buttery & crispness to it. The oxtails were big, bold and plentiful, but the presentation was a bit off putting: the plate which held the oxtails was of the elementary-cafeteria type and the oxtails mostly looked a bit slimy & aged. The "homemade juices" were interesting, refreshing and powerfully delicious but very syrupy sweet. I don't know if I'll ever return, but I won't rule it out. Also, I was told by employee that this place is B.Y.O.B since it holds no liquor license. So if I ever return, wine will...

It is 2 A.M. the next day with stomach pains after visiting this restaurant. I am writing from my experience as a caribbean person and a retired chef. I was recommended to go here from another establishment for authentic jamaican food. The customer service was excellent. However, the food was very, very unacceptable. Our entire meal had the taste that it was leftover and heated up from the previous day. The ginger beer was Very sweet and tasted of lemonade with a hint of ginger(not aUthentic). The sorrel and rum punch was very good. The oxtail was very expensive, costing $47. It didn't have a savory authentic taste, and it had the same exact flavor as the brown stew chicken, which is careless. The plantain was not fresh. It was dry and hard inside and not sweet. The rice and peas were missing the authentic flavor from the coconut milk. The cocobread was wrapped in foil, and it was wet inside. It did not have the flavor that I know and love. The dining area did not have A.C. it was warm inside. I am writing this review in hopes of the chefs to revisit food safety training and to change their flavor profile to match and bear the name as being "authentic." Furthermore, so customers can be aware of...
