Sunday 5pm; 11/17/24 Service slow, disorganized & confusing. I couldnt understand where the breakdown in communication was. Not many customers but the line seemed like it never moved from the cashier (new employee, unknowledgeable, confused, bad day...???) I dont know but...2 older manager looking employees (1 male, 1 female) not assisting and observing & mumbling in circles to each other. Plenty of workers but no chemistry. 1 sandwich maker was wrkg the whole line, calling out orders, making to go orders, kinda giving commands to other line workers. He was doing it all....and kinda rude when i asked about my sandwich...so i just stood back confused on where our meals were in the prep process. Then i look over and a customer is questioning the miscommunication on her order w the cashier...mgr looking folks in blue not assisting. I ask if a bag sitting there is my to go order..im told no. My girlfriend goes and asks for out to go order and they give it to her. Yes im totally confused. Meanwhile the cashier girl is opening a fridge up front and sipping an energy drink...WTH. I go back & forth w mgr looking dude in the blue shirt about utensils for our ckn chili & mac n chs....as if im in the wrong for checking my bag and asking for some. His justification response was...The ticket says No Utensils...WTF!!!! Why the heck would i request No Utensils for a to go order en route to the local hospital to visit a sick loved one..?? I Was Never Asked And I Never Mentioned It. Ok now the food...ckn chili, mac n chs, panini, cookie was good, thank you. My Italian Cruz Sub or watever it was....was horrible. Literally just a pile of mush...which has me wondering if it was made that way on purpose (remember the rude sandwich maker i mentioned earlier..?)
I Cant Make This Stuff Up....smdh

Excellent casual place to eat big or small if avoiding fast food health hazards:) The Kingwood store feels to me to be a bit small town friendlier than some of the in Houston delis. Manager or assistant manager access at all times. Staff seems happy. Jasons Can be very busy with short wait times at lunch and certain times in the evening. All good, worth the wait. Expect $5 -$10 per person for fresh, better than average deli style. Suggestions: Restaurant always very very cold. Customers wearing long sleeves sweater windbreaker sitting with arms crossed. This is an energy hog not eco-friendly The management decision to remove the plastic reusable dishwasher beverage cops and replace with throw away plastic is regressive and inconsistent with global green trends 3 Jason's Deli must consider Wi-Fi. Modern businesses and establishments where people gather ...this common, customer welcoming and friendly perk has become commonplace...
