As a Landry select member, I had the worst experience of my entire life at this, McCormick and Schmickâs location. If I could give a lower score, I would. I attended happy hour with a few of my friends. We ate on the patio and was having a great time. There were a few inconsistencies with our drinks. So one of my friends went to go, speak with the manager about the inconsistencies, and was met with such rude, disrespectful, denigrating, and condescending attitude I have ever heard! The server was overwhelmed due to the amount of tables she was serving and yes, our table did ask for certain things however, we were never rude or disrespectful or yelled, or anything at her. The manager blamed us for her server, being overwhelmed rather than assisting his server with her duties. He also was extremely dismissive, and basically said he was busy, although there were more not more than 5 to 6 people in the entire restaurant and by the time we spoke with him in the evening after happy hour was over there was just our table and one to two other tables. So he definitely was not busy, the color of our skin just didnât interest him and having a productive conversation regarding our concerns. He blatantly was dismissive, disrespectful, and basically just racist! I will be calling corporate. The managers name he proudly exclaimed was Glenn Davis! And I hope and pray that that is the last day of his job and his work in the food service industry. If you are black, or black women, wanting to go there for happy hour, just know that you will be neglected, not receive touch or table, touch service from the manager, not being asked about anything about how we can make your experience better, and just blatantly ignored! This is definitely it is not a place I would ever go to again, although I have frequently gone to this particular restaurant in the past today is the last time I will ever go to this location! I will again be calling corporate, and might even drive there in person myself this is totally unacceptable!
The drink that we ordered it was lemon drops, and the server admitted that one of the bartenders was in training, which could explain the inconsistency. However, if you are following a recipe, there should be no inconsistencies, or at least not as huge inconsistency that I received and my friends, received between the first drink, and the next drink. The food, however, was good. I ordered the truffle fries and Baja fish tacos, although, the latter could use more seasoning. I highly recommend you order and add garlic, aĂŻoli sauce, and Tabasco sauce if you want it to be a little bit spicier and flavorful.

Read moreMade a reservation in advance for my husbands birthday which happens to fall on Christmas day. The second we entered, the host stand area was packed with people. The hosts let us know they were running 20 minutes behind schedule. A big party of 12 walked in with no reservation and were told a 40 minute wait for a table, but somehow were sat before us within 10 minutes. They were definitely not following CDC guidelines with its host area packed and food runners bringing food through all the people, not to mention why were they taking walk ins while already behind on reservations... made me wonder, shouldnât they prioritize the reservations? They should have made the big walk-in parties wait outside, but somehow did not enforce the covid capacity guidelines they had placed on the host stand, which is very sketchy..
Eventually, 30 minutes past our reservation time we were sat at a table.. after sitting down, 15 minutes passed and no one came up to our table so we got our own waters at the bar. We were still left with no service 30 minutes in, so we had to ask a manager for a server. She let us know they were short staffed and eventually brought one of the busiest servers to us - we could tell she was flustered, which we were understanding about. So why even open on Christmas? Because of this, the experience was unpleasant and one of our order was messed up. Fortunately the manager took care of the mistake. Nonetheless, it makes me wonder if they were short staffed, why take on walk ins and sacrifice the customer service. I will not be coming back here due to the poor service and lack of enforcements on CDC guidelines on COVID precautions and social distancing. I donât blame the server as I am certain it was not her decision to allow walk-ins despite being so busy and running behind. Oh and Iâm not going to complain about the price because when you go to a Landryâs owned restaurant, you know what youâre expecting to spend - food was subpar, but the service could have at least been decent, but nope, everything was very disappointing. Definitely not...
Read moreVERY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I visited this location today for my parentâs 30 year anniversary. I had high hopes of having a successful and easy night, instead I ended up highly disappointed. I was accosted by the general manager, Glenn Davis, after I expressed I did not like my food. He came over to my table after Iâd sent the plate back and tried to force me to keep the food by saying that he would have to âthrow it awayâ and risk losing profit if I did not keep the food. So confused by this statement I reiterated that I would like a different meal instead. When my new meal was brought out, the manager forced an employee to bring back the meal I did not want in a togo bag. This also confused me because usually when I go to a restaurant and send something back because I didnât like it, it wouldnât be brought back out. When I received my bill I noticed that I had been charged for both entrees (I only ate the replacement one). When I questioned my waiter about this he sent Mr. Davis over to me. He approached me aggressively and continued to demand that I must pay for both meals because I didnât give the first one a good try. I stood my ground against his harsh, demeaning tone and expressed I would only pay for the meal I ate. Words cannot express how embarrassed and uncomfortable I felt being spoken to as if I am a child. Being a woman, and a woman of color at that, I felt unprotected and targeted by the manager. I have never encountered such an experience. I will never step foot in âhis restaurant â (as he called it) again. It shows that Glenn Davis cares more about a $20 profit than he does the feelings of his guests. My mother and brother spoke to him following the encounter and he continued to be rude, even walking off in the midst of them speaking. Mccormick should reconsider their hospitality training if Mr. Davisâ behavior is a product of it.
UPDATE: I have been unsuccessful in contacting the higher ups at this restaurant. It seems that they have made it impossible to do so because of the issues...
