Uptown Sushi is an absolute gem in Houston's dining scene, and it delivers a top-notch experience every time! The sleek and modern interior exudes sophistication, making it an ideal spot for a date night, celebratory dinner, or just treating yourself to something special. The vibe is chic yet inviting, striking a perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. The food is simply outstanding. The sushi is incredibly fresh, artfully presented, and bursting with flavor. Their creative rolls and sashimi options are a must-try, and they always have unique dishes that push the boundaries of traditional sushi. For those who prefer something other than sushi, their menu offers a variety of equally delicious options. What truly sets Uptown Sushi apart is the attention to detail—from the perfectly balanced flavors in every dish to the impeccable plating. The cocktails are a highlight too—crafted with care and a perfect complement to the meal. The service is exceptional, with a staff that is knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. They go above and beyond to ensure you have a fantastic dining experience. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or a newcomer, Uptown Sushi offers a culinary adventure that is sure to impress. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a refined yet approachable dining experience. I can’t wait to go back!

If this were solely based on food, I might’ve gone with a 4 or ideally a 4.5. But the ambiance and service definitely pushed it over the top. Omar and Jasmine were awesome, especially with how often they checked in with us and in being accommodating with whatever requests we sent their way. The overall look and feel of the restaurant is pretty different from other sushi spots in town, with a nice mix of chic, elegant, and still kinda relaxing. The food itself wasn’t too shabby either. The Kobe Cubes were a pretty unique and tasty starter, as we’d never had a Japanese app based with ground beef like that before. The crunchy rice at the bottom might’ve been the best part. The Dynamite Shrimp was also solid, but the star of the night was easily the Beef Tataki. From the first bite, we could tell this was a higher quality piece of beef, that thankfully wasn’t overpowered by the sauce itself. Easily the dish I’d recommend the most. The various types of nigiri were all pretty good. From their signature selection, the Salmon and A5 definitely stood out the most and were our favorites of the group. The Black Pepper Tuna and Tiger Shrimp were our least favorite parts of the meal, but still had a ton of flavor and wouldn’t warrant a label of regret by any means. Overall, this was a great dining experience and one I would be more than happy to repeat.

This place is ok at best. Forget the prices - the food quality is bad. The bluefin tuna flight tastes like a regular tuna flight. The omg roll was probably the best thing we had there. We also tried the shima aji and kinmidai, both of which were ok fine cuts but could’ve been much better - I love these cuts and the flavors here weren’t matching up to what I love about these fish. The beef cubes were trash - very bland and a bit hard to eat; the beef was overcooked so you couldn’t taste much. The truffle tuna was solid for a starter and I recommend that but when you factor in the prices into the equation there are so many better places to get your sushi fix in town

We went to the restaurant on a Wednesday night, eager to try the unique fusion rolls. Arriving in Post Oak, it was hard to find parking but as soon as we got in, we were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. The dim lighting made us feel very relaxed and at ease, better enhancing our meals. The floors and tables were very clean and preset for when guests arrived. However, the bathrooms were not as pleasing due to the small stalls and cracks in the paint throughout. The service and staff were amazing. There were people readily available, filling our waters and making sure we were consistently satisfied with our experience the entire time. Since it was our first time dining, they recommended popular dishes that we enjoyed. There was a wide variety of food options such as vegetarian, fish, chicken and more which are suitable for all taste preferences and even offered to make their signature cocktails non-alcoholic. The overall presentation of all the dishes was unlike any other sushi restaurant and further contributed to creating a high-end dining experience. Some of the food such as Yellow Pon and the Millenium Roll had an acquired taste to it but was still enjoyable to eat. The price was reasonable for the dishes we ordered but they did charge a little extra for the small sides such as different sauces. For six dishes ordered for four, the total came out to around $20 each. Overall, Uptown Sushi is a very family-friendly spot to eat at and the service is very welcoming. We definitely recommend going if you are looking for a nice sushi place to eat it that's...

Horrible service and management! Came for lunch and seriously I am Trying to give this place another try every-time. July 6 2022 12:15-12:25 pm the owners of the location please check your cameras to see your horrible service.

I came in no one is in line 3 people are at front desk. Have another couple behind me. Still waiting to understand what’s going on with my table no clue no one saying anything but talking about someone who will walk in. Well the couple walked in they were seated before me and the couple behind me.

I have NEVER in my life experienced this service even at a high end preserve michelin restaurants you do not get this treatment. So what if they come every week? Does this mean my business my money is not enough? How do you know who I am? Or the couple behind me?

And the manager who I think is not even a manager comes up and apologizes that’s it nothing else giggling. Is this funny? He was a part of the front group well then take care of us rather then just talking daily things… what a horrible establishment for allowing this.

And this is my last time coming here. And never will advise anyone here

Update 💫✨ You will love this part The manager if he is… Came and told me he is comping my lunch but charging me 0.01 so I can tip my waiter. But he said do not think that you can get away with this next time it is a one time thing and told me to not get used to it. Well sir… believe me that you won’t see me again. I did tip the waiter what my bill was what a low class...
