The manager here exhibited the classic way NOT to treat a customer. I go to this coffee shop pretty regularly - whenever I’m not in the office or I’m working from home. It’s either work or get a drive through. I’ve met up with friends and colleagues there. And every time I go there, I buy at least one cup of coffee.
Fast forward to today (which happens to fall in a period I’m taking a temporary break from coffee), I go there to work as usual with my non-caffeinated homemade tea in hand. As I was busy setting down my bag, the manager walks by, our eyes lock, and we both say “hello”. I noticed he glanced at the container I was holding, but I didn’t think much of it. About 10mins later he walks up to me to ask if I wanted anything, and I told him not right now. He then proceeds to tell me about their policy which does not allow people who aren’t making a purchase in the shop. I was taken aback, and quickly packed up my laptop and swiftly left the shop.
I know it may sound logical to say everyone who sits in your shop must make a purchase. But when you are dealing with a regular customer, or someone who always makes a purchase when they come, I think that was a pretty amateurish thing to do as a manager. I mean, the shop had only a handful of people in it. An experienced manager would know that as long as people find comfort in your business premises, they will at some point make a purchase - if not that day, some other day.
It’s safe to say I will not be going back there again, either to sit in or get a drive through. They don’t need to worry about me being in their shop without making a purchase, while I take my $7+ coffee money elsewhere…a place where I am recognized as a customer, and...
Read moreWell first off I would like to share my experience, this a great location for a coffee shop.
As you walk through the door, you immediately are greeted by the owner which is absolutely wonderfully friendly, he takes great pride in his Minuti Coffee Shop an is such a gentleman.
As you are approaching the counter you then are once more are greeted by the staff.
This walk through the door White Glove Service is much appreciated on many levels.
Now to the delicious drinks, from their famous shakerado to their dirty chi and let's not forget they're amazing hot chocolates along with their exquisite gelato and freshly baked cookies and simple but yet great tasting fresh breakfast sandwiches.
This place is screaming refreshing, giving it a modern day feel from the name brand generic conglomerate we all know as Starbucks they're unique and creative taste for quality is unprecedented.
From the time I walk through the doors, receive my beverage, enjoy their amazing clean seating area, I am thrilled and excited to come back once again and look forward to those amazing delicious Italian beans that are perfectly blended as they pull the fresh espresso shots and shake them up, they open the shaker and you can smell the aroma of thee infused pour. It really is an amazing blend of simple syrup, espresso, and just the right amount of milk.
I'm always excited to come back to minuti. So thank you for this...
Read moreWe experienced unhygienic processes and poor customer service. The below are some examples of the poor quality of service we experienced while we were in the establishment:
While the Barista was making an espresso, another employee came up to him and fed him noodles from a cup. He was slurping the noodles over the espresso machine. As somebody with gluten sensitivities, I asked him to remake the espresso given that cross-contamination could have occurred and it was overall very unhygienic. He should not have been eating around the coffee equipment. We ordered one mocha drink and the milk was spoiled. The drink smelled and tasted sour. Two of us ordered sandwiches. The sandwiches never came out and we had to go in multiple times to remind the staff to make our sandwiches. One of the employees questioned whether or not we actually did order a sandwich, to where they looked up the receipt and confirmed that we indeed did order sandwiches. This took at least 25 minutes to get it sorted. Further, we had to request that the employees wear gloves while making the sandwiches, as they were not wearing gloves.
This was a disappointing experience. We have never experienced this sort of service at a Minuti location. Please ensure your staff are retrained on food safety practices and for quality customer...
