Read moreI ordered once from here via DoorDash and stopped by the restaurant once. The dosa here is tasty. The mango lassi (thank you for offering for me to try it during the physical visit is 10/10-best I've ever had). The pakoras are also fried to perfection. What brings everything to a three are a couple of things: 1. the vegetable biryani was significantly undercooked (vegetables were hard without any give when biting) 2. The order took longer than anticipated both times around (it might not hurt to quote a longer time to prepare food) 2. When feedback was provided about the biryani the response was how great the chefs at the restaurant were and how authentic the dishes were 3. The chutneys for the masala dosa were chutneys for the samosa (I know because of my first order) 4. The chutney provided for the samosa did not taste fresh. Even the best cooks have off days and areas that they do not always shine in. The feedback only makes them better. Also, it might be helpful to go through the order with a client before they leave the restaurant and pause if a concern is noted (i.e. question on the chutney). It felt like from a customer service standpoint, when something was brought up, it was rushed or dismissed. Where you shine, continue to shine and where there is something that can be done better, try it out and see...
Read moreI recently visited the Peacock Restaurant and tried out a few dishes from their menu. Firstly, I ordered the idli dish which was creamy and full of green chilies, and it had a really good taste. The spiciness of the dish was just right and the idlis were soft and fluffy.
Next, I ordered the Paneer Chettinad, which was very good. The flavors of the dish were well-balanced and the paneer was cooked to perfection. The dish had just the right amount of spice and was not too overpowering.
I also tried the Malai Kofta, but I was a bit disappointed with it. While the dish was creamy, I felt that it was too rich and heavy. It didn't have the right balance of flavors, and I found it to be just okay.
Similarly, I ordered the Paneer Kadhai, which was also just okay. The dish had a decent taste, but it didn't have the wow factor that I was expecting. However, the quantity of all three curries was good.I ended my meal with a mango lassi, which was good.
Overall, I would rate my experience at Peacock Restaurant as 3.5 stars out of 5. While some dishes were really good, others didn't quite hit the mark. However, the quantity of food was good, and the service was also...
