MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Houston

This review is more focused on the performance of the team and the location itself, I normally am very fond of mod pizza but at this specific location I was extremely disappointed with the staff. First as I entered there wasn’t a line in sight but the two people serving the pizzas were going extremely slow, and I understand it seemed to be a downtime but when I say slow I mean it! They were so slow to the point the line grew to a ridiculous amount. Be aware they served the same person for almost 8-10 minutes! Then when it was finally my turn I ask for two mods and at every other location it was never a problem but he started adding the exact same ingredients on BOTH pizzas! And I don’t mean cheese and sauce I mean toppings and everything! Halfway through the pizzas were almost identical except for when we had to specifically point on what should be on which. So both I and the person I came with were slightly upset but we didn’t want to make the person restart to we just stuck with the two pizzas that tasted good but the experience itself was...

I visited this establishment on 7.30.24. The week before they were closed due to AC problems. I was excited when I saw that they were open. As soon as I walked through the door, you could tell that there was no AC. The staff had big fans blowing in the back. I went ahead and ordered my pizza thinking nothing of it. I sweated while I sat and waited for it. I get back to my office and notice that my pizza isn't cooked all the way like it should be. I ate it anyway because I was hungry. I continue working and out of nowhere I became sick to my stomach which eventually led to severe vomiting. My immediate first thought was food poisoning. I want to tell you about your employee named Maria who went above and beyond to give outstanding and compassionate service to my 15 year old daughter. My daughter has been struggling with major depression and self harm for several years. She was just released from sun behavioral hospital. Maria took our order and she gently mentioned she saw my daughters arm and offered to give us some of your delicious cakes for my daughter and I. That act of compassion brought me to tears. Most people would have just maybe talked about her but not Maria. She is an extraordinary and compassionate young lady. You are very blessed to have people like her she is a big asset to MOD PIZZA.
