Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Houston

I've been coming here for years and personally never had any issues with my order, but I had to give this place one star due to the unprofessionalism of their staff. I was sitting waiting for my order and 4 employees (who presumably were on break) were crowding the already small lobby area and occupying the chairs for the customers and engaged in personal conversations - using profanity and gossiping and saying disparaging things about one of their co-workers (who awkwardly showed up not too long after that, and these same fake employees immediately began smiling to her face and giving her hugs as if they didn't just say that they "hated" her and speculated about her being "homeless" moments earlier). 🙄 What a toxic work environment. And it made me feel incredibly uncomfortable as a customer who had to sit and listen to this nonsense while awaiting my order. I can't believe there wasn't a manager on duty to either ask these employees to take their personal conversations outside or to get back to work. They even said they had a visit from corporate coming the next day. You can't possibly tell me there was nothing productive for these employees to do to prepare, but this is our new workforce unfortunately. The cherry on top was I couldn't carry all of my order in one trip so I had to go back and forth to my car twice but neither of these idling employees cared to assist. We ordered our pizza and the staff claimed it would take 55 minutes to delivery to our hotel. When I called back to check on the status. The lady said it would be another 15 minutes late and that she was going to contact the driver to makes sure he or she would contact us to gain access to the hotel. When I contact back the store 20 minutes later. The staff could not get a hold of the driver and she said the manager would call me back. I never received a call back. at this point the store was closed and I was unable to get a hold of the staff/manager to check on the status of our order. It had been over two hours and still no pizza. My children had to go bed hungry with no dinner. They driver finally called around 12:35am to let me know he was unable to gain access to the hotel. Bad experience! my office ordered 8 pizzas from Pizza Hut for a meeting. We ordered the day before to ensure a smooth delivery. The order was for 11:45am, at 12:00pm I called to check on the order and why it was late, the lady said it was given to "Door Dash" and it would be here shortly. At 12:15pm a "Door Dasher" arrived with 4 pizzas! I asked him where the rest of the order was and he said that's all they gave him. I called the store again and the lady said it's on the way ma'am (very rudely) and hung up. Why she's mad at me after messing up my order is beyond me. But the food finally came, the meeting had to be interrupted twice and to top it all off, it wasn't even hot, some of the pizzas had toppings missing or very scantily placed. We were not pleased at all. We thought Pizza Hut had their own drivers? Next time we will call Dominoes or Papa Johns because apparently Pizza Hut is not equipped for...
