My family and I are currently visiting Houston for a basketball tournament this weekend. The boys decided they wanted pizza. I placed an order at 9:47pm in the amount of $54 I received a notification around 10:20 stating that my order has been delivered. I than called the store only to be told that it’s not out for delivery it would be delivered around 10:54pm. My son and his friend stood down stairs and waited I called them back only to be told to give them 5-10 more mins. We waited still no pizza I called back to only be transferred and placed on hold! I got my keys and drove to the location on the way there someone finally answer I did not her name but she was African American. I than told her about the situation again only to be told that my order left the store 10 mins ago. We are staying at the Hyatt which is 5 mins from the Pizza Hut location. The lady than places me on hold again because I am definitely frustrated by now it’s almost been 2 hours and I am not feeling well. I get to the location still on hold because she stated she was going to reach out to the driver! I got there she still had not even contacted the driver. When she did she said what’s up where you at? This establishment definitely needs to be looked into. I was greeted by whom I was speaking with while she just standing back in the kitchen and oh there was another employee standing out front who reeked of marijuana. She was very rude and was not understanding rolling her neck and being very dismissive for something that they could have easily fixed. How is this location not even 5 mins from the hotel and we waited over 2 hours! Plus got the run arounds and very rude and dismissive employee who shouldn’t be working where she has to give customer service. Someone needs to send her to a training class for customer service. Read moreTook over two hours to get our pizza and when I called to ask if there was anything I could do to help the driver find our apartment like should I go outside and wait for him or describe the area better or something the girl who answered the phone snapped at me and told me “ma’am he has 19 orders to make yours is in the car it will get to you when it gets to you“ I told her “I’m sorry I was just trying to be helpful I know that it can be hard to find the apartment in the dark and to be honest two hours is a long time to have pizza just sitting out. so I wanted to make sure they hadn’t left it on the doorstep and maybe got the wrong apartment or something. I’m not complaining I’m just trying to make his job easier by doing what I can to help. “Instead of offering to have the driver call me or two cancel the order since it had been out for two hours already and they were closing shortly, she simply said “whatever that’s fine. It’ll get to you when it gets to you.“ They drop the pizza off about 20 minutes after that forgot the drinks and yes the pizza was room temperature and very soggy. We didn’t eat it for health reasons anyone could easily understand. If you order a pizza at 9 o’clock and it’s cooked and ready 20 minutes later and out the door but you don’t get it until Close to midnight, probably not going to make you sick but definitely not appetizing. Also we had to pre-tip the driver when we placed our order which don’t even get me started on how leaving a pre-tip basically ensures you’re going to get lackluster service. People give exceptional service and they get big tips but if they already have the tip they have no incentive to go above and beyond. Read moreUpon my arrival the young lady behind the counter did not acknowledge me at all. I waited exactly 2 minutes for her to say "Hello can I help you" before I said "Hello' myself. She still didn't say anything so I said it again then she said "I heard you give me a minute " now we're in phase two of me waiting another 2 minutes only for her to say "what did you order?" I told her and in the middle of me telling her she walks off I said" I wasn't through with giving you what I ordered or the name!." She said she knew the order walked off and came back with 3 of my 4 pizzas and no wings and no drinks I informed her of what I was missing she said she didn't know I had that I told her well you walked away while I was telling you what I had she rolled her eyes got my items and told me to check them and I did by this time I was irritated and ready to go. She asked if I needed help I said no but I proceeded to let her know that I didn't appreciate her customer service and she just hunched her shoulders I didn't get her name (no name tag) but I guess because she knows her attitude was horrible. I will NOT be returning or ordering from this Pizza Hut on Gessner and Philippine Street again 77064 zip code. My company orders food for the warehouse on a regular basis however to receive a service that was accompanied by unexcused customer service I don't need that behavior or the food products.
