I went in at lunch time (Saturday April 1st) to order some food and of course it is busy but I wait. The register guy asks if I want "fried rice or steamed, veggies or no veggies and if I want double meat". All questions I've already memorized to which I replied Chicken teriyaki, fried rice no veggies and one egg roll. I had enough stamps for a free meal and so used that to pay for my meal and then of course pay for the egg roll. I didn't get my egg roll right away but I kindly asked one of the guys whom grabbed my receipt out of my hand to see if I had paid for it. Okay fine, they want proof, I understand. But it was done rudely. I don't react though and get my egg roll and continue waiting for my food. But when I get my food I saw I was given steamed rice. I told one of the guy at the end of the line I ordered fried rice. I said it pretty matter it fact, I just wanted it fixed. The guy that had previously took my receipt then spoke up and asked for my receipt and I said "you took it earlier when you gave me my egg roll" which he did remember. He then stated "you got it for free so it's steamed rice, you didn't pay for fried rice. And I said "okay, then why didn't he say that earlier? because that's what I ordered". He then rudely pointed for me to wait back in line at which point I grabbed the food and stormed off. Paying the $1 or $2 more would have been no big but the fact stands that they were all very rude & my ordered never got fixed because they couldn't understand that they...
Read moreUpdate 05/19/19 I decided to try Sarku's Beef Teriyaki and it's not as good as the chicken option. Aside from being pricier ($10.00 vs $7.00 for the chicken) The beef portion served is also way less than the chicken; something to keep in mind if you were planning to share your food.
Sarku's Teriyaki Chicken daily special rocks my portion/value scale with plenty of food served at a great price (order the to-go box) There is quite a line to place your order but it moves pretty quickly. Upon ordering you are given the option of having fried or steamed rice along with vegetables. Here's a tip: ask them to pour extra Teriyaki sauce over your chicken; I found it a bit on the dry side when first served. My Son payed extra for additional chicken but in the ended up taking it home as it was too much food (though a good alternative if you want to split the meal with someone). Overall, Sarku's lunch special is a satisfying, affordable option to consider if eating inside...
Read moreI do not recommend this establishment in the mall as I go to others and I’ve never been served as to this way, I bought two chicken teriyaki’s one with fried rice, one with combination and then one combination chicken teriyaki with shrimp with lo mein double meat on two of them I am happy and smiling up until I am seeing that the lo mein they serve for two of the platters, the amount that you usually get for one they literally split it for two of them and then the vegetables it supposed to go on top on all three platters, had nothing but lettuce one had a piece of broccoli and the other two had no veggies so basically I got served half my lo mein and no veggies but yet I paid almost $50. I will never go to this establishment again they are too greedy...
