They literally had a section roped off between the counter where you order normally and you were forced to stand quite a bit of distance from the counter. When I approach the counter to pay, I was very sternly instructed to move away from the counter back behind the road section. Now mind you there is no rope session right there at the register. So I asked how am I supposed to pay this far away from the counter and mimicked stretching my hand and reaching all the way across this rope section to try to hand the lady my card. I've been a customer since Shipley's opened this location (5823 Gulf Fwy) moving my business from the Main St location. I've normally received great service ordering multiple dozens of donuts or kolaches for my employees on a regular basis. The last three visits, however, I've ordered a dozen or more sausage & jalapeno kolaches only to discover I was given plain sausage kolaches. As a customer, I shouldn't have to open up the taped box just to confirm I was provided what I paid for. The jalapeno version tastes great, the plain not so much. Very disappointing for it to happen three times inside of six...

If ordering kolaches, triple check your order. Don't just confirm it with the counter girl. For at least 4 times in a row, I've requested a dozen or so sausage, cheese & jalapeno with a few sausage and cheese. Being helped by the same girl each time, I receive sausage and cheese with no jalapeno and plain sausage, no cheese. Not sure if she doesn't understand me or she tunes out the request after hearing the word sausage. Tried calling since the manager offered me a cup of coffee while I was there this morning but he wasn't available. Really...
