From the moment I walked in, the service was amazing. I was thrilled to discover Amorino has a location in Houston, especially after missing my chance to visit in Chicago. The cozy River Oaks District shop, though small with limited seating, exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Jazmine provided exceptional service, guiding me through their flavor selections with a genuine passion for the product
My eyes were bigger than my stomach, so instead of just a scoop, I opted for the extra-large size (to share) for $13.60, which allowed me to choose three flavors. I went with coconut, pistachio, and blueberry cheesecake. Each flavor was rich and refreshingly light on the palate. The textures were delightful, with nuts in the pistachio and fresh flakes in the coconut enhancing the dining experience.
I also tried the gelato macaron coconut mango lime, which combined the best of French pastry with the wonderful taste of Italian gelato. The flavors of coconut and mango were perfectly balanced, though the lime was subtle and didn't overpower the taste.
After enjoying a few spoonfuls, I had Jazmine package the rest to go. Their insulated containers keep the gelato fresh, making it perfect for delivery or later enjoyment.
Beyond gelato, Amorino offers an extensive menu of sorbetti, gourmet sundaes, milkshakes, crepes, waffles, and more. The gelato drinks, featuring intriguing combinations like sorbet drinks and espresso frappes, demonstrate their creativity and commitment to providing a unique experience. They also have a variety of cheesecakes at $5.90 each (classic, strawberry, marble, raspberry, and crème brûlée), along with other pie slices and wafers.
The gelato drinks are an intriguing combination, featuring sorbet drinks, milkshakes, vegan shakes, espresso frappes, and other gourmet cups where you can create your own combinations (2 gelato or sorbet + 1 sauce + chocolate pearls + homemade whipped cream). Additionally, they offer waffle and gelato combinations, crepes, and even brioche and gelato. Interesting and creative combinations.
Whether you're seeking a refreshing treat on a hot summer day or a sweet ending to a shopping excursion, Amorino Gelato is worth the visit. Their dedication to quality, service, and innovation makes them a standout in the Houston dessert scene.

Read moreCame in as a group of 4 on a Saturday night. The place is small, but the staff are friendly and all the flavors we tried were delicious. I personally tried the Ecuadorian chocolate, coconut, walnuts and figs, and the custard with cherries in syrup. They were all DELICIOUS. I especially loved the walnuts and figs combination, never thought of that as a gelato flavor before. I also tried a chocolate macaron. It's very small and for $2.50, I'd skip it. The gelato is also a little pricey. A small cone (and they do really mean small) is $5.50. You can only get the rose shape on a cone so if you want to get a picture get the cone and then ask for a cup to move your gelato into. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is due to the way they take their orders. I feel that it's very ineffecient and not the smartest way for a place that's so tiny. When you walk through the door, there are tables immediately to your right and people are standing in line to your left. Once you get your turn, you choose a cone/cup size and anything else you want and you pay. You move along the line to choose your flavors and that's where there's chaos. Because you pay before you get your cone, they allow you to try as many flavors as you'd like. I think you can start to see why this is a problem. People that came in before you will come up to your spot to try a flavor that's in front of you. There's a little pushing and shoving while people move around the line to get to the flavors they want to try. I feel like it would be better if they had a system similar to Starbucks where they take 1-2 customers, have them try out and choose the flavors they want, and then serve the next customers. I would love to come back, I just hope they implement a new way of...

Disheartening Experience at Amorino GelatoMy recent visit to Amorino Gelato was far from the joyful occasion one expects at an ice cream shop. Instead, I encountered a rigid, digital-only ordering system that completely disregarded the essence of customer service and the human touch that makes dining out special. Forced to use a tablet to order, I found the process not only impersonal but also exclusionary, particularly for those who are visually impaired or not tech-savvy.After struggling with the digital menu, the inconvenience escalated when I was ready to pay with cash, only to discover that the setup did not accommodate this payment method. This required the staff to manually take my order again, doubling the frustration and rendering the initial digital process pointless. It is disheartening to see Amorino Gelato prioritize cost-cutting over accessibility and customer satisfaction. This approach not only strips the experience of its delight but also risks alienating those with disabilities—a serious concern that could lead to legal repercussions under disability rights laws. Ice cream is supposed to be a happy, inclusive treat, yet my experience was marred by a cold, calculated attempt to save money at the expense of genuine human interaction and accessibility.I urge Amorino Gelato to reconsider its policies and restore a focus on what truly matters—customer satisfaction and accessibility. Failing to do so not only tarnishes your brand but also turns a blind eye to the very real needs of many of...
