I went to dinner here about 3 weeks to a month ago and I ordered the steak and mashed potatoes which the dinner was lovely and delicious.. the service was nice and the environment was quiet. The next day I wake up to 2 extra charges on my card, basically the waiter charged me two times. I called the restaurant and told them about my situation they sounded very remorseful and said that someone would contact me within 5 business days so I waited actually a whole week because I know businesses are busy. So since no one called me back I called them and I got the FULL RUN AROUND. no one knew what to do or who I needed to talk to, the manager was supposedly never there so basically i'm out of double the money that I actually spent there and the average meal isn't cheap here as well. I understand mistakes happen but don't take people's money like that. it's just wrong. so all in all I will not be coming back here and it's been literally a month and still no reimbursement for the extra charges or anything. Just don't go here,...

How disappointing. In Houston for a show, from Nacogdoches we chose The Pearl as our out-of-town restaurant experience, because the menu looked SO good. First thing, the intersection they are at was filled with homeless people and police. Ok, it's the city, it happens, and of course, you have to pay to park. It's 6 o'clock pm, I call, and the person who answers takes our order, then the phone is handed off to someone else who informs me that they have none of the things I've just ordered. They only have a limited selection from the bar menu. You know, chicken strips, etc. He blames the pandemic. Although no one else seems to be having this problem on this scale. We end up going across town for a less elevated, yet quite good meal. Maybe he should have said they fed it all to the homeless before we got there. I don't know that I would have believed that, either, but at least it would have been a...

We ate there recently during our stay at The Sam. We had dinner one evening in breakfast before morning. Breakfast was great. I had the omelette and bacon as a side; my wife had migas and bacon. Overall, it was a wonderful way to start today. However, our dinner the previous night was less than stellar. I had the jumbo lump crab corn chowder and the spare rib. My wife had the tomato salad and the scallops. Her scallops and pasta were good, but the tomato was grossly over ripe and very mushy. My chowder was the best thing of the night. My short rib, spoetzel, and brussels sprouts were fine. The reason we chose to give this three stars was the fact that our dinner was so salty it was barely edible. Her scallop dish and my short rib dish were so salty we could barely eat them.
