I had a brief love affair with the food here. Fresh, made to order, and several of the female servers were helpful and courteous. They made our first couple of experiences worth coming back. Let me put my obsession in perspective. I stopped in this restaurant for the first time on June 1st for lunch. Since then, I have brought my family 3 times for lunch and once for breakfast. It's convenient when we commute through downtown. I have a favorite order and love the combination choices. But poor service has ruined any chances of another return.
Today, I'm rating my overall experience with two stars because the food has always been consistently fantastic. I can't say the same for the staff here which is the reason I will not come back.
I have observed and received poor service from your male waitstaff and last night was incredibly offensive. My daughter and I stood at the ordering register and waited 8 minutes for someone to acknowledge that we were there. While waiting, I observed a female staff member go back and forth serving food, talking to seated guests, and she looked in our direction at least half a dozen times but never verbally acknowledged our presence. Then a young man looked at her with disappointment and approached us to get our order. He did apologize for the wait.
I began my order and he interrupted me to tell me that I have a limit on items for my taco. I looked at him, then the menu, then asked him if there was a problem because I had placed this order multiple times before and if there was an additional charge, I paid it. Why did he make it such an issue? He took a deep breath and sped through the ingredients that I requested then took my daughter's order.
This was the first time we took our order to go. He told me he marked the tacos...it was WRONG! And frankly both orders were missing items. I knew that was going to happen because he didn't record either of our orders. It seemed that he was ready to get us out of there.
The tacos were delicious after we ate a portion of each other's and my daughter was a little disappointed not to have received her cilantro on hers.
FYI... the restaurant was not busy. There may have been 5 or 6 other patrons. The atmosphere was cold and uninviting. Maybe it was everyone's off day but this was my second bad experience/interaction with the staff. I'm not one for three strikes. So, we will just take our business to Chipotle across the street...
Read moreI've visited this establishment a handful of times and have never experienced what happened today. I went during lunch and ordered nachos with beef fajita. I have a thing with texture and color so I normally ask what color sauces are if it's questionable. I was told that all of the cheese was yellow and after repeating my question about the color of the cheese she confirmed it was yellow. I know it sounds silly but it's just a thing that bothers me. I then paid and went to a table and waited for my food. Once the nachos came out I noticed white chunks on it and in between the chips. I signaled for the woman to come over and asked what was the white stuff. She proceeded to tell me it was cheese. I told her I wouldn't be able to eat it and if she could please have them remake it with only yellow cheese. She walked off and then came back and said "So you want us to make an entire new one?" in which I said yes. Minutes later she came back and dropped the food on the table and walked off. She didn't apologize, just dropped (literally) the food and walked off. I'm upset because I know it's weird to not what certain things on your food but if I ask ahead of time and specifically ask questions so that I order the right thing I don't believe you have the right to get upset when you didn't listen to me or give me incorrect information. She should have apologized and brought the correct food to me instead of being rude and dropping it on the table. I will not go back to this establishment because of her response. I don't care how decent your food is, if you are rude and have crappy customer service it will always overpower whatever you...
Read moreAside from explaining my order of Beef Fajita Nachos 4x just for the cashier to not understand… “I’d like the beef fajita nachos, I’d only like gauce is it possible to take off the sour cream and other dips?” I thought I perhaps I had misworded my statement so I attempt 3 more times just for her to tell me she was just going to give me chips and quac with an extra side order of sour cream..😭
Finally she seems to understand my order of wanting normal typical beef fajita nachos. The ones that are made in order from : chips on the bottom, refried beans coating, shredded cheese on top of the beans, and the fajita on top…..
So I’m confused why I got a literal scoop of beans on one side and cheese only on 5-6 chips?
I was really excited as everytime I pass by it smells so yum…perhaps it was the restaurant neighboring. This was so overpriced for the absolute bare minimum.
Update:!!!! After trying to spread the beans I noticed a couple black strains that looked odd… turns out it’s black hair….. I have red hair…. Disgusting and...
