Food was mid. I have been to twin crab on 45 & Fuqua & always had a great experience. I was meeting up with a friend near by & decided to come here. Our server was Javier L. Food was good. But the experience was not. He only came once to our table and that was it. My husband had to call him over twice to refill our drinks. When the check came he was not transparent about the tip. I got what I usually get at the other location & when i heard the amount he was charging me, was odd because we never paid that much. I understand every restaurant even if it is the same chain has different policies & prices. But when he came out to our table he said he preferred cash tips in a very disrespectful way. My friend told him she would leave it on her card and so would I because we never carry cash. My friend found in her wallet 4$ cash and gave them to ‘Javier’. He made a face like he was upset. We asked for our receipt & he was very hesitant & said if we signed up for the rewards we would automatically get them on the phone. Which was a lie & we asked for physical copy of the receipt. He then gave it to us. & it showed that the service charge was already added on there & he was not transparent about that and we both added additional tips on there making his tip bigger. I usually tip well but his service was not great & was disrespectful & NOT transparent. He did not deserve a great tip. I feel scammed. They need to train him better & show him customer service. Read moreI recently dined at Twin Crab Restaurant, and it was an experience I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. From the moment I walked in, the service was abysmal. I was shown to a sticky table/ bench that clearly hadn’t seen a cleaning cloth in weeks.
Things only got worse when I ordered a drink. As I took my first sip, I felt something foreign in my mouth. To my horror, I pulled out a piece of what looked like a plastic wrapper! I couldn’t believe my eyes. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, they seemed more interested in rolling their eyes than addressing the issue.
And then there was the manager. When I requested to speak with them about the incident, the rude response I received was nothing short of shocking. Instead of an apology or concern, I was met with condescension and dismissive remarks. Told me it was just a Lemon seed in my coke. But he didn’t even look at it, the worker did. It was something long and pink and plastic like. Even if it was a lemon seed, no lemon seeds should be pink nor do they belong in my coke because I didn’t request lemons or seeds. It was clear that customer satisfaction was the last thing on their minds.
This experience left a sour taste in my mouth—both literally and figuratively. Twin Crab Restaurant needs a serious overhaul, from cleaning practices to customer service. I would strongly advise anyone considering dining there to think twice. Save your money and...
Read moreWhen we arrived we were told it would be a 30 minute wait which was cool. We had a large group so that’s understandable. We ended up sitting outside and some at the bar enjoying drinks. Before we knew it a hour and a half had pasted and nobody even offered to take our while we wait on a table… I guess they wanted that forced gratuity 🙄… I finally asked because it was getting close to closing and they gave us menus and told us someone would be outside to take our order while we wait on a table… we waited another 10-15 minutes no orders we’re taking during this time but someone finally came out to seat us. The waitress Melany Garcia G (as it appears on my receipt as server) was very rude! She tried to lie and say they didn’t have certain food as well as a cook because it was close to closing but that was not our fault. We spoke with a manager and they advised her that it was ok. The waitress threw our utensils on the table, had a very bad attitude, very combative, and inserted herself in our personal conversation! We traveled from very far and expected more hospitality from the great state of Texas. If I have any thing good to say it would be that the shrimp fried rice w/o sausage was really good and probably the best thing on the menu. Please do better at this location.
