I visited this location early one Friday morning. My receipt says the cashier was Stephanie O. at the drive thru. Everything went fine before I asked for an extra ketchup. She walked away as if she was going to grab one, but instead came back and just started stocking misc. items (cup lids, cutlery, and such) she even took another order in the drive thru, all while I just sat there waiting on the ketchup. I gave her the benefit of the doubt for a few minutes and then I realized she was just ignoring me. They weren't super busy, just that one order that had pulled up after I had requested the ketchup. I ended up just leaving without the ketchup because I didn't want to hold up the person behind me. Sounds like I have more respect than Stephanie O. did. I was polite and didn't make a scene because it was just ketchup. But if Stephanie O. that works the early morning shift with medium length black hair, round frame glasses, and about 5'4"ish in height can be petty about me asking for a single pack of ketchup at a job she is paid to do, I can get on Google and leave a petty review. I worked in customer service for 9 years and always treat retail and food service workers with the upmost respect even when they don't deserve it because I know the struggle. And I know people have bad days, but I never took it out on anyone I was helping. I do still recommend this whataburger, but don't visit in the early morning hours if you think you might want...

Enter Whataburger. Black counter person. Black customer.
I am 2nd in line. The man in line ahead of me has obviously been chatting with the counter person a long time already.
But it's going to be much longer now, because there's a grumpy old white man in line.
Oh, they went on and on about they granbabies an' they chilluns. And about his freebies, cuz he wants one, even though his birthday was a few days ago.
I wait and wait. Finally, I say out loud, "Really? I can always go somewhere else for breakfast."
Oh, they wrap it up real quick then and I order my $2.26 worth of biscuits and gravy.
This is the 3rd Whataburger in Houston that I've experienced blatant racism against white people. Imagination you say? Nope. This is how it's done. Subtly.
I have started to have to check my food to see if anyone has spit in it, or God forbid, even urinated in it.
This has gotten beyond ridiculous.
And this is why I'm both going to stop eating out, and leaving Houston.
Whataburger used to be a premier burger restaurant in Texas and in Houston.
Now it's mediocre. It's mediocre because they hire mediocre people and now give racist and mediocre service.
However, their prices aren't mediocre. They charge twice as much as ANYONE else.
Thank you Whataburger. You've gotten the last dollar you'll ever get from me.

Read moreI’m not a review writer but feel like I need to spread the word. This is the WORST Whataburger I’ve ever been to. It’s the closest to my home which is the only reason I have ever returned. After years of terrible waits, messed up orders and even finding a piece of a latex glove (!!) in my food, I somehow kept coming back. Tonight was the last straw. After repeating my order several times in the drive thru, it was still incorrect. When I noted the receipt showed the wrong thing and requested it be fixed the woman looked me dead in the eye and said “Well your burger has already been made” while shoving the bag of food at me. I then asked her to confirm the rest of the order was correct and she said yes. Get home and everything was wrong. I can’t believe how rude these workers are to customers, especially after waiting for 30 - 40 minutes. I will say there are two very lovely employees who work in the mornings on the weekend, a younger man and a sweet woman who always has fancy nail polish (wish I knew their names). They are the only good thing about this location. Do yourself a favor and go to the location at I-10...
