I love eating there because is like warping into Mexico City cuisine. You know it's authentic because THEY DON'T SERVE TACOS!. Don't be turned off by the name. I thought it was just a bar until I saw their options in the window. And I've been looking for a place that has Mexico City food that's close and affordable. What else tells me this is authentic? The people that go there. I get greeted in Spanish which I LOVE. The patrons and the atmosphere. Authentic Mexico City desserts, non alcoholic drinks, juices, mexican ice cream and so much more. The inside of my Yardas, has tables with names of different metro stops in Mexico City. It's really nostalgic. The music is ok, they have a good mix of cumbias and "popular" music. Sometimes a god awful reggaeton song pops up, but they're far n between. I've tried the chilaquiles w milanesa. Didn't know you could do that, but it works. Had red pozole and it was adequate. I'm glad I didn't have to ask for oregano, they brought it w the bowl. My kids had sopes and sincronizadas, They have a kid menu, but Mexico City food is kid friendly if you know what to order. I was perplexed by their tlacoyos drowned in a green salsa, but still yummy. I had a friend go there a long time ago and said she did like it...well, she was expecting something like Chuy's or Pappasito's...bruh, then go to tex mex restaurants that have watered...
Read moreLet me start with the amount of time it took for us to get our food, by the time we received our food we were almost done with our chips and our drinks and to top it off, honestly the worst food I've had in a while, I'm not a very picky eater myself, I'll eat anything, especially if I'm paying for it. I just couldn't do it this time, the tacos were absolutely disgusting the meat looked like throw up, I've been to taco stands in the middle of nowhere that tasted and looked a whole lot better. My girlfriends enchiladas looked well put together, but the chicken didn't have any kind of flavor and neither did the rice. Now, I was never rude or in any way disrespectful to anyone, as I like to treat my servers with respect, because they handle my food. When I let my server know I wasn't satisfied she said "I'll speak to my manager" she went over to talk to him for a few minutes and they looked over and decided to ignore us, now I was on my phone for about 10 minutes after noticing they decided to ignore the fact that we were even there, I said "whatever, I'll pay" I paid for two full meals without any negative words said to any employee, they didn't offer to make it up to us nor some kind of discount as we didn't even eat a fourth of our food. I'm honestly very disappointed with the place overall and if I could rate it...
Read moreI had high hopes for this restaurant after seeing their online menu, but unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant due to one major issue: the menu on their website is seriously outdated.
I had carefully looked through the options online before visiting, and based on what I saw, I was excited to try a few specific dishes. However, once I got to the restaurant, I found out that several items I was looking forward to weren’t available anymore, and the prices listed were completely different than what was posted online.
It’s incredibly frustrating as a paying customer to make decisions based on inaccurate information. Not only does it waste your time, but it also creates confusion and leads to unnecessary disappointment when you arrive expecting one thing and get something entirely different.
In this day and age, keeping an online menu updated isn’t just a courtesy—it’s a basic expectation. It’s especially frustrating when you’re already working with limited time or trying to plan meals in advance. Restaurants should make sure their digital presence reflects their current offerings, so customers don’t waste time or end up confused and...
