As for hiking and biking trails- good if your bike is the only transpo you have and you need to get from Blalock to Gessner from near Kempwood quickly with no cars then this is perefect. Otherwise- its got no scenery and just reminds those of us who live here that THIS is the kind of nature trails we get because they are tearing down all the woods and beautiful nature to concrete it up for empty shopping strips and Mcpatio home, gated off, cul de sacs filled with quickly deteriorating ghost homes where most haven't been bought. But, they keep tearing out nature habitat to do again and again. So- all the newbie transplants buying those homes but complain to those near you with yards that you need a green space for you or your dog bigger than the 25 sq ft "back yard"- you may want to commission for the next perfectly good small home torn down next to your gated community to keep the lot with the trees so you can still have something tying you and the rest of us to nature. Or- hear me out- just buy the perfectly great older home with character and a huge front and back yard so you don't aid in killing off our woods and old trees that made Spring Branch what is used to be. Sorry for the rant- barely- but seeing the destruction of most of our wooded areas turn into high density living and ruin the area in 10 years really irks me especially when you then walk your dogs through OUR neighborhoods next to our home and let your dogs pee and poop...
